Fortnite: Where to Find Holiday Trees During Operation Snowdown
Operation Snowdown has brought Christmas to the Fortnite map. Players can get special holiday skins, emotes, and in-game challenges to complete with a snowy, wintery, Operation Snowdown theme. One of the challenges to complete is dancing in front of holiday trees.
Operation Snowdown challenges can get players XP as well as holiday-themed items. Once this particular Day 2 dancing challenge is completed, players will get a little closer to the free skins and will earn the Snowmando spray. Snowmando is one of the new NPCs on the Fortnite map for Season 5 that players can talk to, buy weapons from with gold bars, and get the skin of this winter.
The trees are fairly distinctive; players will just need to look for a fir-like Christmas-style tree, decked out from head to toe in lights, ornaments, surrounded by presents, and then topped with the ubiquitous Fortnite llama instead of a star. There will also be three or more chests that spawn underneath them to help players who are looking to dance to get some weapons.
There are six total tree locations on the map. Since players have to dance at 5 different ones, they'll need to travel quite a bit to get to each of them quickly. Thankfully, there are Fortnite planes in locations along the way as well as cars that can speed up getting from place to place.
The trees are pretty easy to find once players are in the area, considering how colorful and bright they are. The locations are Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, Craggy Cliffs, Salty Towers, Dirty Docks, and the Orchard.
Once players find a tree, all they have to do is dance at it, then repeat four more times. Make sure to collect anything in the chests underneath the trees; there could be all sorts of powerful weapons and more inside. Unfortunately, players won't be able to get most of the new exotics like The Big Chill in these chests; players have to purchase them from NPCs for gold bars in Fortnite.
This event will be going on from December 18 to January 5. If players can complete nine quests like the Dancing at Holiday Trees quest, they can unlock a free Snowmando Outfit, and after twelve completed quests, the Frost Squad Outfit will unlock, also for free. So even if the quest rewards aren't enticing, players can still complete them in order to get those free skins for themselves.
Fortnite is free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, and Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
