Gravity Heroes Gets Release Date | Game Rant
The release date for Gravity Heroes has been revealed. Gravity Heroes is an indie shooter that was first revealed in 2019, and while small pieces of information about it have trickled out over time, the launch date has finally been confirmed. The fast-paced and chaotic 2D arena shooter will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on January 22, 2021.
Publisher PQube Games (known for games like Supermarket Shriek) revealed today that its next game will be released in just a month. Gravity Heroes allows for both campaign and versus mode, giving players the ability to control gravity, collect power-ups, and use weapons in taking down robotic bad guys to achieve victory.
A demo of Gravity Heroes was released earlier this year, allowing players to test out the experience leading up to the launch of the game. So far the title has been enjoyed by many those who have been able to try it, as the gravity-defying features and robotic enemies help the game stand out. The 2D pixel art style gives the game a unique aesthetic, as does the chiptune music.
Players can control Nala, El Tostador, Abel, and Magnus in couch co-op, either in the campaign mode or against one another. In the story mode, players must investigate why the peace treaty was broken between the humans and the synthetics by taking on massive bosses and countless hordes. For developer Electric Monkeys, this will be the third PC/Console game, behind Gravitational and Ace of Mages. The developer has worked on a handful of mobile games as well.
Gravity Heroes will release on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch on January 22, 2021.
