Halo: Master Chief Collection Releasing Nameplate for 'Insiders'
It has been a long year for the development team at 343 Industries. Ignoring Halo Infinite, 343 has been releasing Halo games on PC as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection at a great pace. Now, around a year after Halo: The Master Chief Collection first came to PC, 343 Industries has finished its task. All six of the Halo games included in the collection are available, and now it's up to 343 to wrap things up and support the package post-launch.
As previously teased, 343 is doing something special for all those who participated in any of Halo: The Master Chief Collection's test flights. The developer promised that all Insiders would receive a free, unique nameplate for their efforts. Now 343 says it's ready to deliver those nameplates. The Insider nameplates will be delivered with the next update from 343. It may take a while to arrive in players' accounts, up to 48 hours, so players will need to be patient.
Alongside the confirmation of a free nameplate, 343 also took the opportunity to say thank you. Postums, 343 community coordinator, said the nameplate is just one way 343 is "saying thank you to everyone who has helped us on the journey we have been on in 2020 together!" They also wish everyone a nice day and a happy holidays, or more specifically happy "Halodays."
This isn't the end of Halo: The Master Chief Collection updates. The next update, coming December 16, has various bug fixes and preps the game for Season 5. The developer remains dedicated to supporting Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and maybe that hard work will tie into Halo Infinite's 2021 release, too.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
