10 Hidden Secrets Many Still Haven’t Found In Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Sackboy: A Big Adventure released as a launch title for PlayStation 5 to great acclaim. It may be different than its predecessor, but it is phenomenal all the same. This spinoff focuses on 3D platforming first and foremost. Sackboy boasts brilliantly designed levels and worlds for the felt-covered hero to explore.

With so much to see in Sumo Digital's latest game, there are bound to be some secrets that have remained hidden from many users. For those willing scour the biomes of Craftworld, handsome rewards lie in wait. Those looking to get the most out of this adventure will want to explore this game thoroughly.

10 The Soaring Summit Secret Area

Secrets open up to those with a keen eye almost immediately in Sackboy's venture through Craftworld. Directly following the introductory levels, a secret area lies hidden in plain sight. When finishing the level "Blowing Off Steam" the route to the boss fight is opened up.

Instead of following the suggested path, head in the opposite direction. A bridge lies just south blocked by two orange flower bulbs. These are easily broken by slapping them. Once they are destroyed, Sackboy can traverse the bridge and jump in the flower waiting at the end of the path. This will open a route to two levels within The Kindom of Crablantis otherwise impossible to reach.

9 The Ripsnorter

A set of entirely optional challenges for those who aim to test their platforming skills lies in the Knitted Knight Trials. To attempt these levels, players will have to collect 15 separate cubes littered throughout the game. Each cube grants access to one of 15 trials, each focusing on a different obstacle.

Sackboy will have to make his way to the goal as fast as possible to obtain Dreamer Orbs tied to set times. For the skilled few that best every one of these missions, a secret mission will be unlocked. Trial 16: The Ripsnorter tasks players with completing every trial in rapid succession in a single life. Death means restarting from the beginning, so perfection is a necessity for this unforgiving skill assessment.

8 Beast of Burden

The Ripsnorter is just one of the secrets to lurk within the Knitted Knight Trials. Some are only obtainable with the help of a friend. The Beast of Burden is a co-op exclusive trophy that will task Sackboy with summoning a friend for assistance.

A Beast of Burden requires one Sackboy to carry another throughout the entirety of a Knitted Knight Trial without dropping them once. They will also need to achieve a gold time on these trials in the process. Even on the easier courses, this can be a challenge.

7 The Colossal Canopy Hidden Area

In the second area of the game, The Colossal Canopy, another flower awaits players, waiting to guide them to hidden levels. As with the first section of the game, this flower is hidden around the conclusion of the world.

A skull-shaped gate will block the route. To progress past this, Sackboy will have to slap two red buttons on the sides of the door. Doing so will open the door reveal a route to two hidden levels in The Interstellar Junction. 10 Dreamer Orbs are available in these levels and will help boost numbers to those struggling to unlock the next region.

6 Prize Bubble Progress Tracker

With so many outfits up for grabs in Sackboy: A Big Adventure, it can be overwhelming to keep track of what outfits are missing. Thankfully, the developers at Sumo Digital have instilled a feature that allows players to keep track of how many pieces are missing in each available set.

Those interested in checking what is missing from their collection can head over to Zom Zom's shop. Scrolling all the way down in the Wardrobe section will bring up Prize Bubble Progress, showing how many different outfits need to be completed.

5 Kingdom of Krablantis Hiden Area

In The Kingdom of Crablantis, spotting the hidden flower is a bit tougher than the previous worlds. To do so, Sackboy must find a segment of the map where a path only presents itself when walking out into the abyss. Right below the Co-op level on the bottom left segment of the map, a floating path can be found.

At the end of this bridge, a small island with a silver dome awaits. Popping each of the bubbles on the outside of the dome will lift it and reveal one sneaky flower. Three hidden levels in the Soaring Summit are now opened for exploration.

4 Cut It Out!

Hidden levels are some of the secrets in store for explorers of Sackboy, but there are some secret objectives for dedicated trophy hunters too. One such challenge tasks players with completing Highs and Glows without the use of the Whirltool.

While completing the level solely with platforming skills is possible, it's certainly not something players would try without the knowledge of this trophy's existence. Those interested in obtaining the Platinum Trophy for Sackboy will want to make sure to check this off the list of achievements.

3 Gerald's Secret Spots

Craftworld's resident scientist, Gerald accompanies Sackboy on his adventure in more than just spirit. The titular scientist can be found within several levels investigating the happenings of the Imagosphere. In most cases, Gerald is out of the way of the main objectives. Scouring levels is a must for those interested in tracking him down.

Those who find the living watermelon can count on a Dreamer Orb as a reward. The Naturalist trophy is a reward for those who can find each hiding spot in the game. Thanks to the handy progress tracking feature on the PS5, PlayStation Plus subscribers can get video guides on Gerald's locations.

2 Interstellar Junction Hidden Area

The fourth world in Sackboy: A Big Adventure is The Interstellar Junction. This science-fiction inspired and futuristic world harbors a secret passage that many will overlook without a second thought. Beneath the conveyor belt near the center of this area, there lies a hidden room.

This hidden room takes players to a single level within The Colossal Canopy. As with the previous secret areas, this is one level that cannot be accessed any other way. There are five Dreamer Orbs in this segment, a substantial bounty for those seeking to boost their numbers and unlock upcoming worlds.

1 The Wonderplane

Something that is a tradition of sorts in platformers is the post-game content. After completing the main story, many platformers will present players with a set of challenges that can only be unlocked once the campaign has reached its conclusion. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is one platformer that follows suit.

The Wonderplane is the final world of Sackboy's adventure and offers substantial challenges to those interested in testing the skills they've honed over the course of the campaign. With several stages requiring substantial skill, it's a test created with the most astute players in mind. Ending with the Little Big Finale, The Wonderplane presents an excellent sendoff for what has been a Renaissance for Sackboy as a PlayStation mascot.
