Assassin's Creed Valhalla: How to Beat Leofrith | Game Rant
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is full of tough enemies and bosses to take on. Fighting like a true Drengr means taking on the best of the best to decide who shall travel to Valhalla. From mythical beasts to twisted cultists, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will test the skills of any would-be Viking.
Leofrith is one of Assassin's Creed Valhalla’s tough one-on-one battles that will test how well the player can control Eivor in combat. Players will want to make sure they are prepared for this fight by collecting any resources in the area such as arrows and rations. Entering this fight with full health and arrows will prove to be most beneficial to players. Once players step into Leofrith’s ring, the fight will begin.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla players should focus on a defensive playstyle and pay attention to Leofrith’s attack patterns. Shooting Leofrith’s weak points with arrows will deal massive damage. When players see a yellow/orange glowing symbol above Leofrith's head, they can parry the incoming attack to drain his stamina and create an opening for a few quick attacks.
A red glowing symbol above Leofrith's head indicates a strong, unblockable attack, players should be prepared to quickly dodge this attack. Leofrith will sometimes back away and raise his sword with a blue glowing symbol over his head. A blue symbol indicates that Leofrith will counter an incoming attack from the player. Players should wait for Leofrith to re-engage before attempting to attack him.
Once players reach the second phase of this fight, Leofrith will become much more aggressive. Leofrith will attack more frequently and evade the player's attacks more regularly. Players should increase their aggression against Leofrith after a successful parry and utilize their adrenaline based skills. Dive of the Valkyries is a good skill to use here for moderate damage. A useful attack rotation starts with a parry, followed by aggressive melee attacks, and ending with an adrenaline based skill.
Ranged abilities are a strong asset in this phase of the fight, allowing the player to keep their distance while dealing steady damage. Continue to avoid Leofrith's onslaught and counter him after successful parries to chip away at his health. Assassin's Creed Valhalla rewards patient players who methodically plan their attacks. Button mashing and overly aggressive actions will cause the player to lose and be forced to start the fight over from the beginning. After defeating Leofrith, players will be presented with a choice regarding whether to spare or kill Leofrith.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
