Assassin's Creed Valhalla: How to Beat Redwalda | Game Rant

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is loaded with challenging enemies to combat with some of the hardest being the Zealots. Zealots are warriors for the Order of the Ancients, a cultist group who have their loyal Zealots roaming around the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Depending on the players choice after defeating Leofrith, Zealots may actively hunt the player, or they may only attack if provoked.

Players will need to defeat all the Zealots in Assassin's Creed Valhalla in order to finish out the Order of the Ancients quest. Redwalda is a lower-level Zealot with a power level of 90. Players are recommended to get Eivor to at least power level 90 before attempting this fight. Redwalda can be found patrolling the ruins of Venonis, north-west of Ravensthrope, in Ledecestrescire. Players may use Odin's Sight to locate and permanently mark Redwalda's position if they need to come back to this fight later.

All the Zealots in Assassin's Creed Valhalla utilize a different combination of weapons. Redwalda uses a Great Sword and a Shield combination to block players attacks and counter with his own. Redwalda also uses two types of ranged attacks in the form of a thrown spear or a tossed landmine. Landmines will stay on the ground until triggered. Players should come prepared with full rations and arrows before challenging this Zealot.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Players will want to approach Redwalda from a distance. Use an arrow to shoot one of Redwalda's weak points to knock him off his horse. Shooting a weak point will remove one of his stamina bars. Players that go for a defensively distanced route should focus on shooting any weak points on Redwalda or aiming for the head. Playing at bow and arrow range will prompt Redwalda to throw his spear or his landmines at Eivor. The Missile Reversal skill found in the raven section of the skill tree allows players to grab Redwalda's ranged attacks from midair and throw them back at him, dealing massive damage.

If Valhalla players run out of arrows or otherwise prefer a more aggressive option, they can get up close and personal with Redwalda. Fighting up close means players need to focus on what type of attacks Redwalda is using. If players see a yellowish glow above Redwalda's head, they should be prepared to parry the attack to create an opening to deal damage. If Redwalda gets a red glow above his head, then the next attack will be unblockable and players should be prepared to dodge. Players with the Brush with Death skill in the raven skill tree, can slow down time when dodging just before being hit by an incoming attack, opening a small window to attack Redwalda. Successful parries and well-timed dodges followed up by a flurry of attacks or an adrenaline skill will help players in defeating Redwalda.

Redwalda and the rest of the Zealots prove to be challenging fights in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Zealots carry different combinations of weapons that will change their attack patterns keeping the fights interesting. Redwalda is one of many Zealots that Assassin's Creed Valhalla players must defeat on their quest to defeat the Order of the Ancients.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
