Call of Duty: Mobile Confirms Burst AR and Marksman Rifle
Call of Duty: Mobile Season One revealed some upcoming content headed to the game in only a few days. These new weapons will be available in New Order, but not all of them will appear at launch. Players will have to complete seasonal missions in Call of Duty: Mobile if they hope to unlock these weapon options.
Call of Duty: Mobile is resetting its season count, bringing new opportunities to the game's community. While Call of Duty: Mobile has been around for several months, the community constantly sees an expansion in weapons, maps, and game modes to play on the go. As a mobile shooter, it does offer a slightly different Call of Duty experience from the core games.
The Call of Duty: Mobile SKS has been teased for several days as the community speculated on what it could be from a silhouette. Now, the official Call of Duty: Mobile Twitter has confirmed that the SKS is joining the Marksman Rifle lineup in the next season for players who want precision-based effects. The SKS is a strong weapon in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, so fans should find a familiar strength in its damage output and semi-auto fire capacity.
The second new weapon coming to Call of Duty: Mobile is the FR .556. This is a powerful burst-fire rifle that can easily unload several shots into a target and down them with a single trigger pull. While the FR .556 has had many names throughout the Call of Duty franchise, the weapon has held its reputation as the strongest burst-fire gun in many titles. Players can look forward to good mobility mixed with controlled fire damage that is sure to destroy opponents.
While both of these weapons have appeared in previous titles, Call of Duty: Mobile fans have yet to experience them in the mobile title. The weapons are sure to find a place higher in the current game meta, but it is currently unknown if they will make it to the top or be destined as a mid-tier choice.
Hopefully, these weapons do not end up affecting the game's current balance in a negative fashion. New weapons in Call of Duty: Mobile can occasionally enter the game unbalanced, and for some time the community is forced to deal with a "broken" gun. Still, these new weapons have been tried and tested in previous titles, which give the community hope for their successful integration.
Call of Duty: Mobile is available now on Android and iOS devices.
