Dragon Ball FighterZ Super Baby 2 Gameplay Event Planned
Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball-themed fighting game, has utilized 2020 to slowly reveal new DLC characters to add to its roster. Ending the year with the official announcement of the final Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC fighter included in the game's Season Pass 3, the game's development team is starting 2021 by hosting an online gameplay event that puts the spotlight on Super Baby 2.
Since its launch in 2018, Dragon Ball FighterZ has released three season passes that have added a range of characters into the fighting game. And for the third season pass, the DBFZ characters that have been announced, then released, were Kefla, Ultra Instinct Goku, and Goku's mentor, Master Roshi. The last two fighters, Super Baby 2 and Gogeta, were only recently announced in December 2020 as the season pass's final DLC characters.
In a short Twitter post, Bandai Namco US shared a few details about the incoming gameplay showcase featuring Dragon Ball GT's Super Baby 2. The event will be live on January 10, 2021, 11:00am PST, and the livestream will happen on the official Dragon Ball Fighter Z Twitch channel, which is home to the game's official championship tournaments and global announcements.
The game's online event will hopefully enlighten fans on how Super Baby 2 will play in Dragon Ball FighterZ. With Super Baby 2's official trailer providing only short snippets of his fighting style, players are hoping to get a more in-depth view of the alien villain's move set and special attacks. It would also be interesting for fans to see how Super Baby 2 will fight and react alongside the other characters that are already implemented in DBFZ's roster of fighters.
With Super Baby 2's release date slated for January 15, 2021, the online gameplay event is a great way to remind fans and players that the Dragon Ball FighterZ team is still creating content for its audience. The team has already added over 15 characters from the Dragon Ball universe in the previous season passes, with each DLC fighter introducing variety to the game's meta. This provides players incentive to keep playing and maybe aim for competitive play, with the active tournaments happening around the world.
As Gogeta's release date is still up in the air, fans are hoping that the Dragon Ball FighterZ team will also create a gameplay event for the Super Saiyan fusion. With how popular Gogeta's character is, it is highly possible for Bandai Namco to make an event announcement in the near future.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
