First Doom Fall Guys Skin Revealed | Game Rant
Originally teased back in December and officially confirmed earlier today, Mediatonic and Bethesda have teamed up to bring a host of Doom themed skins to Fall Guys. While the original tease appeared to reveal that the Doom Slayer's iconic armor would indeed be popping up in the immensely popular indie battle royale game, this morning, Mediatonic confirmed that the title would be getting other Doom skins as well.
While the original plan was to reveal the first skin in the collaboration between Fall Guys and Doom through a special stream, it seems the broadcast had to be rescheduled due to technical difficulties. However, the studio clearly still wanted to showcase what it's been working on, with the first Doom skin revealed to be the Tyrant on the game's official Twitter page.
The costume itself is an adorable rendition of the intimidating foe's appearance in Doom Eternal, including its cybernetic laser gun arm, large horns, and metallic leg. As with all Fall Guys costumes, the face of the bean inside the outfit is still visible, emerging from within the monster's mouth. It's yet another fun crossover costume for Fall Guys fans to pick up, especially for hardcore Doom aficionados who want to show off their love for iD Software's seminal demon-killing action series while battling it out for crowns.
That's not all from the tease though, with the reveal of the Tyrant outfit also showcasing two other, silhouetted costumes that will allegedly be revealed at a later date. The costume in the center is unmistakably the Doom Slayer's armor, featuring what appears to be the shoulder canon he dons in Doom Eternal and the distinctive shape of his helmet. The third costume, however, is a little more cryptic. While it's evidently a member of Doom's roster of demonic antagonists, it's unclear which one just yet, although the prevailing theory appears to be the flying Cacodemon that's been a thorn in Doom Guy's side since the series first debuted back in 1993.
Whatever the next two Doom-themed costumes turn out to be, they'll join a pretty varied lineup of skins currently present in the game. From Sonic the Hedgehog and Untitled Goose Game to Portal 2 and Half-Life, a ton of esteemed video game properties have made their way into the title over the last few months. Even Ninja, Mr. Beast, G2 Esports, and Aim Lab recently got their skins in the game. Doom makes a fine addition to that collection and a worthy reward for any Fall Guys player looking to spend their hard-earned crowns.
Fall Guys is out now on PC and PS4.
