Hearthstone Releasing Its First 'Mini-Set' Expansion | Game Rant
The newest patch for Hearthstone includes quite a lot of content for fans of the Warcraft card game. The 19.4 patch for Hearthstone includes a new Mini-Set, Battlegrounds update, a Mid-Season update for Duals, gameplay changes, and much more.
The new update is set to go live tomorrow, January 21, 2021. In anticipation of the patch, Blizzard Entertainment just unloaded the details of the update to its fans, as Blizzard continues to attempt to improve Hearthstone.
The highlight of the update is that the 19.4 patch includes Hearthstone's first-ever Mini-Set expansion, The Darkmoon Races. The Mini-Set features a total of 35 unique cards, including 4 Legendary, 1 Epic (x2), 14 Rare (x2), and 16 Common (x2); this comes to a total of 66 cards. The cards in the Mini-Set are in line with the same mechanics that come alongside the Year of the Pheonix! in Hearthstone, which was the final major expansion of 2020. The Darkmoon Races Mini-Set cards can be found in the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card packs.
The Battlegrounds updates are also important. New Heroes Greybough and Tickatus are being added, and new Minions are joining as well, including Soul Devourer and Ring Matron. Meanwhile, a Mid-Season Update to Duels will add 10 new Hero Powers, 25 new Signature Treasures, and more. Recently Blizzard nerfed high-power cards in Hearthstone as well, as the developer is trying to find the balance between adding new content and making sure that existing cards are fair.
The 19.4 patch also comes with a bevy of bug fixes and game improvements as well. Additionally, on February 2, the Book of Heroes Anduin installment is headed to Hearthstone, so fans can look forward to more content.
Hearthstone is available on PC and Mobile.
