King of Fighters 15 Reveal Delayed | Game Rant
The newest King of Fighters 15 announcement has been postponed. Fans were expecting a reveal for SNK's fighter, along with information for Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3, but that announcement will now come at a later time and date.
Both King of Fighters 15 and Samurai Shodown are fighting franchises by SNK, a game developer known for its time on the NEO GEO that specialized in beat 'em ups and fighting games. The January 6 announcement for more game info for both games was supposed to take place at 6 pm PST. However, only a few hours ahead of the reveal, SNK posted a tweet letting fans know that the reveal was postponed. SNK says that it will let fans know as soon as a new date and time is confirmed.
Although a trailer for King of Fighters 15 was shown in December, fans were unhappy in the comments section about the late notice from SNK. Many were looking forward to finally getting more information on the game. Perhaps if SNK had given the fans more of a heads up--instead of releasing the tweet the day of the reveal--it would have landed more gracefully.
There is a lot to look forward to with King of Fighters 15. The game seems to have a strong story mode, impressive visuals, an interesting cast, cross-platform play (including on the Nintendo Switch), six-team battles, and much more. There is a lot that seems to set the game apart from other fighters.
Between King of Fighters and the well-received Samurai Shodown, SNK has a lot going for it. However, fans just would like to be in the know.
King of Fighters 15 is in development.
