League of Legends Update Adds New Skins and More | Game Rant
2021 is finally here, and with it comes the arrival of League of Legends Season 11. While the title's 11.1 patch is currently hitting live servers, there are already notes available for 11.2.
Riot Games was originally founded in 2006, solely for the creation of League of Legends. Launched three years later in 2009, the game developer has since created several franchise spin-offs, including a recently confirmed League of Legends MMO.
According to a post from website PCGamesN, Patch 11.2 brings seven new skins that are already up on the PBE. For those who don't know, PBE stands for Public Beta Environment, which is basically a beta server. Riot has long implemented the system to test and balance prospective new elements of the game. There are two skin types being added to League of Legends, which are Ruined and Shan Hai Scrolls. Here are the characters set to receive new looks:
- Ruined
- Draven
- Karma
- Shyvana
- Cho' Gath
- Jhin
- Nautilus
- Neeko
In addition to the new cosmetics, the patch will make several tweaks to how the game's chat works. Some of the planned updates include:
- Ctrl + A/Drag Select
- Fix for End of Game double-enter bug
- Scaling changes
While the changes of the latest season look to continue further with patch 11.2, it's important to note that all of it is tentative. Gamers will have to wait and see what makes it to the full game when the update arrives in a few weeks. According to the LoL 2021 patch schedule, 11.2 is due to go live on January 21, 2021.
While LoL may be an 11-year-old game, it certainly proves to be as popular as ever. In fact, the most recent League of Legends Worlds Grand Final broke viewership records, peaking at nearly 46 million concurrent viewers. With the upcoming MMO and other in-universe titles, it's certainly a great time to be a League of Legends fan.
League of Legends is available now on PC.
