Mortal Kombat Fan Reveals Incredible Sub-Zero Cosplay | Game Rant
Few other longstanding gaming franchises have managed to influence the industry and community quite like Mortal Kombat has. From the release of the very first arcade cabinets, to the long line of sequels, to the various spin-offs and adaptations through other forms of media, Mortal Kombat has done very well to withstand the test of time. Now, one inventive fan has created a cosplay of one of the game's most iconic characters.
Of the many iconic facets that make up Mortal Kombat as a whole, its characters are certainly one of the most important elements. A lot of memorable characters exist within Mortal Kombat and continue to remain some of the most iconic video game characters ever created. Luckily, one of the oldest characters in the series has taken on a real life form, thanks to one especially gifted individual.
A talented, Polish cosplayer by the name of Cyprian has created a detailed and intimidating cosplay of Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero. Everything about this cosplay is absolutely fantastic and impressive. The Oni-style mask, the metal gauntlets, the armor, the belt buckle, the swords, and the classic navy blue embellishments. All of it is incredibly well made and very easy on the eyes.
Of the many Sub-Zero cosplays to exist within the gaming community, Cyprian certainly manages to instill the same sort of menacing and intimidating presence that the character is known for. Then again, given how well-crafted this cosplay is, it would be interesting to see Cyprian's take on the various other characters present within Mortal Kombat's library of titles.
Other than Sub-Zero, there are plenty of characters, both new and classic, that are perfect for cosplay. From Scorpion to Cassie Cage to all of the new characters introduced in Mortal Kombat 11, there are a lot of opportunities out there for cosplayers like Cyprian. Certainly, there will be people out there more than willing to seek out cosplays on the same level as Cyprian's.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds in terms of Mortal Kombat. Within the last several months, a lot of DLC fighters have been announced for Mortal Kombat 11, which will give fans of the game a lot more to do. Not to mention the Mortal Kombat movie releasing on HBO Max later in April of this year. Fans will just have to wait and see what comes next in terms of this legendary fighting game franchise.
