Pokemon GO: Best Charizard Moveset | Game Rant
There are many powerful Pokemon that have been added to Pokemon GO over the years. One powerful Pokemon that has been in the game since the beginning remains one of the best, that being Charizard.
Charizard is the final stage of the Charmander evolutionary line, originally debuting in the first generation of Pokemon. In Pokemon GO, Charizard has been in-game since the game's first launch and is still as powerful and popular as ever.
Being a dual Fire and Flying-type Pokemon, Charizard is weak to Rock, Electric, and Water-type moves. This also means that Charizard is resistant to Ground, Fire, Steel, Fighting, Fairy, Grass, and Bug-type moves. If Charizard mega evolves into Mega Charizard Y it will keep its original typing, weaknesses, and resistances. However, if Charizard mega evolves into Mega Charizard X, it will become a dual Fire and Dragon-type Pokemon. This means that will be weak to Dragon, Ground, and Rock-type moves while also resisting Steel, Electric, Bug, Grass, and Fire-type moves.
As Charizard has been in Pokemon GO for a long time, there are many different possible moves for it to learn. This goes for both its fast moves and its charge moves with some of them even being exclusive to events or Elite TMs. The best of these has Charizard with this moveset:
- Fast Move - Fire Spin
- Charge Move - Blast Burn
This moveset has the most possible DPS in both PVP battles and PVE battles. Players can also use this moveset when defending Gyms by leaving their Charizard at one. Blast Burn however may be some trouble when it comes to learning. This is due to Blast Burn being an event move that can only be taught to Charizard at this time via Elite TMs.
In order to get an Elite TM, players need to participate in Pokemon GO's GO Battle League. By doing so, players can get their hands on one as a prize for participating or as a prize after the season is over. Either way, it is the best way to get one.
Compared to a normal Charizard, both of Charizard's mega-evolutions are able to deal out much more damage as well as take more of a beating. Both however are also incapable of participating in the GO Battle League for normal PVP battles. They are however useful when challenging gyms, raid bosses, and members of Team GO Rocket. Players can also use mega evolution in private PVP battles with friends.
Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS.
