Stranded Deep: How to Get Container Walls | Game Rant
Stranded Deep players must use their wits and skills to survive after being marooned on a deserted Pacific Ocean island. Naturally, this means making use of any materials they can find such as wood from trees and stones. Once in a while, however, other resources will pop up, including shipping containers.
During their adventures, the player may discover these containers washed up on the shores of other islands. Although a container can be opened, there are no fish or other valuable items to be found. Instead, the walls can be separated and then used for a variety of crafting features by following several steps.
Before tearing a piece of the container, the player must make sure they have a Crude or Refined Axe equipped. It takes one Lashing, one Stick, and two Stone tools to craft a Crude Axe. Alternatively, a Refined Axe is created with one Crude Axe, one Leather, and one Stone Tool. Afterwards, breaking off the container wall only requires the player stand nearby, go to the Stranded Deep crafting menu, click on the building section, and craft a container wall. If the player is too far away, an error message will pop up instead stating that they don't have the item.
Once a container wall has been separated, it can be moved anywhere on the island by the player. Compared to many other choices available for buildings, the container wall provides a much different aesthetic while giving protection from the elements. However, successfully constructing a building requires a Crude Hammer which can be made with resources used for splints one Lashing, one Stick, and two Rocks. The player should make sure to craft it ahead of time or keep the necessary materials on hand. Note that the container door can also be removed and used as a door without placing an arch first.
While their durability makes container walls a valuable crafting resource, players should be happy to know they can be taken to any island after being separated from the container. Furthermore, any buildings made partially from a container are distinctly visible in color and size even from far away. In the end, anyone who has built a raft and started exploring other islands will know when they return to their main camp or just a home away from home made with container walls.
Stranded Deep is available now on Linux, macOS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
