Season 2 is offering fans a brand new story update along with new weapons and cosmetics. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has a new Battle Pass full of content, and zombies are flooding the shores of Call of Duty: Warzone. With so much happening at once, the developer breakdown assists fans in understanding exactly what is happening where.
In the video, Treyarch and Raven Software break down some of their favorite parts of the new update. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War narrative is evolving as Woods and his team head to the jungle of Laos, where they will go against a new operator and have to recruit some new friends. As for Verdansk, Raven Software's developers are opening more of the map and trying to give hints as to fan answers regarding the mysteries of the map. Exfiltration gives a unique capture the flag mechanic to the game, and Zombies Outbreak adds tons of changes that the development team is excited about.
The creative director of zombies is ready to launch into an "open-world" zombie encounter. Players move through a world with zombies rather than having the zombies rush the players. New operators launch out of the Zombies world and become available throughout the other Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game mode. The developers have hidden tons of small details across the varying maps leaving it to fans to discover exactly what this season has in store.
Eagle-eyed players noticed a free code at the end of the update, which gives all players access to a special calling card. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War code makes reference to Pawntakespawn, the hidden promotional site created by Activision.
Despite being a rather fulfilling breakdown of the Season 2 content, many fans believe there are extra goodies hidden under the surface. Major updates like this have often hidden clues to the game's future, and only the most perceptive puzzle-solving players find the clues in time.
