Call of Duty: Warzone Reveals Operator Roze's Face | Game Rant
A new skin may reveal the answer to a Call of Duty: Warzone mystery revolving around Operator Roze. The infamous member of Shadow Company has long hidden her face under strange masks and facepaint, but now the developers have revealed her face. Call of Duty: Warzone is full of interesting operators, but none have been as controversial as Roze in recent weeks.
Recently, Roze was accused of being a "pay-to-win" skin due to her camouflage's natural dark color. Her urban camouflage blends in with environments in Verdansk, resulting in an advantage for those who use her in the shadows. Call of Duty: Warzone has several skins with similar camouflage, but only Roze can disappear completely due to her facepaint and a dark mask.
In a new bundle titled "Roze: Behind The Mask," players get their first look at the operator's real face. The pack costs 2,000 CP and comes as a last-minute Season 1 release. Players can obtain the Torn Veil operator skin, which reveals her full face, and reactions have thus far been mixed. In a post made to Reddit by KIDMODS5790, fans express frustration toward the operator's features. While Call of Duty: Warzone cares more about her performance than appearance, many fans point out that this skin will most likely not be used. By showing her face, players do not gain the advantage of the solid black appearance found in other Roze skins, and therefore would lose the extra edge they are hoping for.
The pack comes loaded with extra cosmetics and two legendary blueprints. The main feature is acid rounds, which helps explain why she covers her face when in combat. Shooting acid at enemies can have a splashback effect, and facial protection would be needed by default in Call of Duty: Warzone.
While this gives an interesting look into the operator's appearance, many fans are disappointed. The mystery behind Call of Duty: Warzone's Roze has come to an end, and many would have preferred she stayed hidden for a while longer.
Some Call of Duty: Warzone fans believe that Activision added this skin as a way of countering the current Roze meta. By adding an alternative, the developer may be planning on removing controversial skins in the future. If it did decide to do this, then adding an alternative would be a must-have reaction for the development team.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
