Game Rant Arcade Episode 7 | Game Rant

It's Friday, and that means it's time for a new episode of Game Rant Arcade. After a wild week of video game news, Cameron and Anthony are here to talk about some of the biggest news that broke, kicking off February with some major restructurings around the industry, and their opinions on The Medium.

First and foremost, Google Stadia's studio closures paint a grim picture for the future of the service. With roughly 150 developers now without jobs, it seems like there's only a short time left before Stadia goes the way of Google Glass. On top of that, Konami has revealed a restructure of its gaming divisions, which led to some confusion. Amazon is investing heavily into the game market, and EA had an all-around huge week.

Of course, that's not all. Cameron and Anthony spent the week playing The Medium, Bloober Team's newest jaunt through the horror genre. With some good qualities but also some glaring issues, recommending The Medium is a bit difficult for anyone that doesn't have Xbox Game Pass.

Finally, there are two listener questions this week. With the announcement of Indiana Jones from Bethesda and projects like Avatar in the works at Ubisoft, gamers could be entering a new era of licensed games. Plus, with games from the 2000s coming back in the form of remakes and remasters, do developers have a responsibility to remove aspects that haven't aged well?
