Monster Hunter Nargacuga Armor statue Available for Preorder
Nargacuga is a recurring monster in the Monster Hunter series that is quite popular among fans. Now those fans who appreciate seeing Nargacuga every time it appears in the series, and especially those who appreciate its armor, will find the new Monster Hunter statue from Animegami, worth checking out.
The statue itself is of the female hunter wearing the Nargacuga Alpha+ armor set from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Fans of Nargacuga and the Monster Hunter series will recognize the armor's ninja-inspired theming and the headpiece reminiscent of Nargacuga's ears. Also of note is a downy crake at the back of the statue under the hunter's Nargacuga great sword.
As for the price, those interested in the statue will need to shell out $49.99. There is also a standalone statue that is of Nargacuga itself for the same price. Those interested in both can get them together for a slight discount with both statues together costing a total of $94.99.
Nargacuga was first introduced in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite back in 2009 for the PSP, so the monster has been around for over a decade. Its reappeared in multiple games since then, with the most recent being the aforementioned Iceborne. It has yet to be confirmed to appear in Monster Hunter Rise.
Nargacuga is a flying type wyvern that can attack hunters with its quick movements and spiked tail. It can sometimes get that spiked tail stuck in the ground, however, which leaves it wide open to attacks from a hunter.
There have also been a couple of different types of Nargacuga over the years such as the Green Nargacuga or the Silverwind Nargacuga. The latter is a deviant from found in Monster Hunter Generations and is a more aggressive Nargacuga that has previously survived an encounter with a hunter. The Green Nargacuga meanwhile only appeared in the West in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, but it was also available in the Pokemon-esque spin-off Monster Hunter Stories.
