PUBG Update 10.3 is Now Live | Game Rant
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds might not be the juggernaut BR title it once was, but it has continued to provide its player base with updates and new content. The game is into its 10th season, and after update 10.2 added some vehicle-related changes to PUBG, some quality of life changes and new shop items are coming with update 10.3, which is now live.
First up in this new PUBG update is the ability to emote with squadmates, which will trigger any teammate within 15 meters to join with the player in a little celebration. Doing so does come with some risk, as players are left vulnerable while using an emote, but they can be stopped.
A few quality of life features include improvements to the Karakin Map, with new lighting to improve visibility, and further refinement of the Reputation System to not penalize players who back out of a match in the warm-up. The game will also kick players who are AFK in Training Mode, to ensure that those in a match are all active participants.
The PUBG Store is being updated with some small tweaks to the UI, as well as some new items for sale. The featured items appear to be a riff on Little Red Riding Hood, with a red hood skin as well as a wolf pelt skin. Much like Call of Duty's Valentine's Day event, the items here will be available in time for February 14.
The final thing this update will add to the game is a Weapon Sound Select System that allows players to switch out audio for certain weapons, giving players the choice to use the original weapon sounds or newly remastered versions of select weapons. This will include the M249, M416, Kar98k, and the SKS.
This is likely the final major update for Season 10, but looking to the future, PUBG has plans for new games, with early development started in some cases.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
