A Company is Making Museum-Grade Pokemon Card Display Cabinets
The Pokemon Trading Card Game has seen a meteoric rise in mainstream popularity over the past six months. Just on Twitch, the Pokemon TCG category saw a 3000 percent rise in the past week or so, thanks in part to Pokemon's 25th-anniversary celebrations.
Now, hardcore Pokemon TCG collectors have something to look forward to, depending on whether or not they have the cash to spend on their collection. A company called Collector's Cabinets has revealed a brand new line of museum-quality cabinets, cases, and frames for those Pokemon TCG collectors who are serious about taking care of their cards while showing them off to others.
For those who haven't been following the Pokemon TCG boom, the card game began to garner mainstream popularity thanks to massive YouTube creator Logan Paul. Even now, Logan Paul is opening rare Pokemon TCG packs and filming his reactions for content. As such, many other content creators online followed suit and began to stream their own pack openings. As a result, the interest in the Pokemon TCG grew exponentially, until even those who were not interested in the card game began to buy and open their own packs.
Now, it seems that Collector's Cabinets is capitalizing on the Pokemon TCG's rise in popularity, while also offering an extremely high-quality product for hardcore collectors. Collector's Cabinet's website touts its line of cabinets and cases as "museum quality" products for "investment grade collectibles." The website also clarifies these products are made to order, saying each cabinet, case, or frame is "built specifically for your collection. We can adjust everything to your needs – from your trading card storage & display requirements, to the level of lighting that best suits your home."
It's important to note that since these products are specifically made to order, that there are no set-in-stone prices listed on the website. As such, interested parties will have to get a quoted price depending on the specifications that are given to the manufacturer. Still, it's more than likely that collectors are going to be paying quite the pretty penny to get such high-quality display cases for their collection. However, that makes sense if collectors own some of the most expensive Pokemon TCG cards.
All in all, it's a really cool service that Collector's Cabinets. While these products may be very niche, it's still great that hardcore collectors have the option to treat their cards with the utmost care. It would also make for one of the most impressive hobby displays around. With Pokemon's rereleasing popular cards for the 25th anniversary, collectors even have the chance to fill in some blanks in their collection. Hopefully, these museum-quality cabinets fill the niche that some hardcore Pokemon TCG collectors have been waiting for.
