Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Creates Cat Houses With Clever Trick
As of yesterday, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is over a year old, and in that time, the game has become an international phenomenon. With the player base continuing to grow even now, users have managed to accomplish a lot within the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Though, one user has recently managed to do something especially extraordinary.
Back when the COVID-19 pandemic first started to impact the world, many players turned to Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a means of escape from the troubling circumstances the virus presented. During that time, many players created a vast abundance of unique creations through the use of Animal Crossing. Although, even after the game has been out for over a year, players are still finding creative things to do in the game.
A lot of Animal Crossing: New Horizons content updates are planned for 2021, but one that's out right now that a lot of players may have missed is an updated version of the Custom Design editor that allows players to customize articles of clothing. The new update allows players to customize new items such flags, fans, standees, and umbrellas. This has allowed one player in particular to do some very creative work.
A Twitter user by the name of yamaji_maya has created custom cat houses using the umbrella customization feature. By overlaying a cat house design on top of the umbrella and placing the umbrella down at the right angle, it looks like a cat is living in the player's house. Animal Crossing fans have managed to create a lot of custom designs, each one distinct from one another, but this is quite creative, to say the least.
It truly is impressive to see the kinds of things that players can accomplish within Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The Custom Design Editor has allowed players to create all sorts of uniquely themed islands and items. For instance, one player managed to stylize their Animal Crossing island after Earthbound, using the town of Onett as a template.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what other ways fans are able to innovate using the tools that Animal Crossing: New Horizons gives them. When the Mario themed content update first went live, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players were using the Warp Pipes in unexpected ways that added a new layer of depth to the gameplay. Hopefully, Nintendo has a lot more in store in terms of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
