Call of Duty: Warzone Fan Discovers Missing Operators From Old Promotions
It has been a year since the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone, and it is a very different experience. The game has gone through several seasons of content updates and a full integration in under a year. Despite this, some Call of Duty: Warzone fans are still looking towards the past as several unknown operators are uncovered by a diligent member of the game's community.
When Call of Duty: Warzone launched, the developer ran several advertisements and promos to try and gain attention for the new game. Several of these appeared as standard advertising options, but now a fan has noticed that the game is still missing advertised operators. Several Call of Duty: Warzone operators appear in an old promotional image, yet they never made it into the core game.
In a Reddit post made by TheCommentPolice519, the user posted several old promotional images of actors in various war gear. Each operator shown seems to be unique in their style, hinting that they could have been intended for the game's final release. Call of Duty: Warzone has a variety of operators already, but none match the visual description of these unique individuals. The first image showcases an African American soldier wearing night-vision goggles on his helmet. He is dressed in standard military attire with an assault rifle over his shoulder.
The second image showcases two operators, with one being a fairly standard soldier in attire and the other brimming with personality. His rifle has unique markings on its stock, and he is dressed in a blue denim shirt. This Call of Duty: Warzone operator has no helmet and seems to be more "mercenary" in his general appearance.
The third image contains two more operators following a similar pattern, but fans are all asking the same question. The game's community wonders why this team has not made it into Call of Duty: Warzone, with the obvious answer being that the squad was scrapped. While some fans are interested in playing these characters, it is likely they will never be added into the game environment.
Most players agree that they are probably just filler characters for the promo advertisement. Call of Duty: Warzone was still new at the time, and the game had not fully developed into a title the community could identify with. After several patches and extra seasons of content, the Call of Duty: Warzone community has grown attached, but these operators were left in the dust.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
