Call of Duty: Warzone Fans Are Still Finding Errors In Attachment Descriptions
When Call of Duty: Warzone integrated with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, there was an immediate concern among the game's community. Players realized that many of the attachments found within Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's weapons had descriptions that did not match their in-game abilities. For a tactical game like Call of Duty: Warzone, this was immediately a very frustrating gear situation.
After multiple complaints, some fan guides and the eventual content creator coverage Call of Duty: Warzone's developer patched the inaccurate attachments. For a while, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons became more consistent as players adjusted to the new descriptions. Despite this, some fans believe that other Call of Duty: Warzone attachments may be in a similar situation with their descriptions not matching their in-game effects.
The Call of Duty: Warzone armory is filled with weapons, attachments, and items from both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The combination of armories can often result in redundant weapons, but this is not the most frustrating thing the community is dealing with. In a Reddit post created by jelleu, the player showcases one example of an attachment that continues to act differently than its description describes. In the clip, the player points out that the Ember Sighting Point increases the ADS speed on the XM4 assault rifle despite it having an ADS penalty in the description. This seven-second example is one of many cases appearing recently that showcase a lack of attention to the Call of Duty: Warzone integrated armory.
A player in the comments discovered that this effect is only in place for the XM4 and the AK47 rifles. While this does add some viability to the XM4 and Ak47, it is not intended to be as impactful as it is. Call of Duty: Warzone loadouts can be overpowered, and many of those features come from a broken attachment found after integration.
Another example that slipped past the developer patch has to do with the Call of Duty: Warzone Revolver. This weapon has a snub-nosed barrel that is supposed to decrease damage range but instead increases it by a rather large degree. It results in a backward understanding of how guns work, which frustrates many members of the game's community.
Call of Duty: Warzone may be needing another balance patch to help revisit the integrated weapon attachment descriptions. Although the developers have already done this once, Call of Duty: Warzone fans are finding more errors that slipped between the cracks.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
