Call of Duty: Warzone Players Are Tired Of Waiting For Nuke Event
While the story of Call of Duty: Warzone is accelerating, many fans are upset with the developer's pacing. Players have been talking about and expecting a "Nuke" event to launch, but instead all fans are seeing is a slow spread of the undead across Verdansk. Players have been waiting for the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke to launch since it was discovered in Bunker 11, but it seems there will be more filler content before fans can finally see the map destroyed.
The excitement surrounding the Call of Duty: Warzone nuclear warheads grew to a peak when the Russian cargo ship crashed into Verdansk's coast. With a new point of interest active, items to be investigated, and nuclear silos opening across the map, players expected a rapid evolution. So far, all players have seen is the undead moving in to a Prison one week later.
In a video posted to YouTube, TheGamingRevolution ranted about the delay and voiced the frustration that many fans currently feel. Impatient players who were once excited at nuclear possibilities have lost hope that it will ever happen. The popular YouTuber points out that Zombies spreading across the map will go on for quite a while. During this time, the game will be in a boring state as players wait for the undead to make their way across the world, overrunning all of Verdansk. While Call of Duty: Warzone's undead are interesting, they are not entertaining enough to balance out the excitement players had for a nuclear option.
To further fan frustration, many players expected more information to be revealed during the 10th Anniversary of Call of Duty. Players thought it would be a perfect time to unveil future plans for the franchise and maybe introduce the new map that Call of Duty: Warzone will be exploring.
Current rumors suggest that Call of Duty: Warzone will be moving into the Ural Mountains. Some leaks have introduced a new Call of Duty: Warzone game mode called Plagued, which many fans believe will be tied directly the "Nuke Event." Despite their excitement, many fans believe that Treyarch should move up its schedule and introduce the apocalypse sooner rather than later.
Despite this, other fans argue that it is too soon to give up Verdansk. Call of Duty: Warzone has worked hard to expand its current map, and players should sit back and enjoy it rather than trying to force the game into a new world.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
