Destiny 2: How to Complete All Seasonal Challenges for Week 7
Now into week seven of Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen, six new seasonal challenges have been added for players to complete. All the challenges are very simple and do not require any difficult activity completions, unlike week six's Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes.
Destiny 2 players will be able to easily complete some of the challenges while working their way through the final Challenger’s Proving quest. Meanwhile, the other challenges require players to venture into Gambit to get the Salvager’s Salvo Gambit ornament and gain Valor ranks by playing the Crucible which nicely coincides with the return of Iron Banner.
Here are the six seasonal challenges for week seven in Destiny 2 for Guardians to complete.
This challenge requires players to complete the regular Season of the Chosen weekly story quest, Challenger’s Proving, which follows roughly the same format every week. Challenger’s Proving VII is now available for players to start by visiting the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
This week’s quest is actually the finale of the seasonal story and incorporates the new Proving Ground Strike as part of the quest. Before that, players will of course have to earn Cabal gold by playing various activities, smash a Tribute Chest at the end of a Battlegrounds mission using the Hammer, and then meeting back at the War Table.
Players must also get 100 Cabal kills with SMGs, which can be done very easily when playing Battlegrounds missions and the Proving Ground Strike while using the new Extraordinary Rendition SMG or the old IKELOS SMG with a Warmind Cell build.
To complete this seasonal challenge, players will need to meet three objectives that all involve running the new Proving Ground strike. Players need to get 150 kills in the Strike, deposit two power cores, and run Proving Ground three times.
The first two objectives can be easily completed in the first two runs of the Strike, provided players are leading the way through each room and making sure they are first to reach the power cores to get have the best chance of carrying and depositing them. During their three runs of this Strike, players should also be aware of the 10 elite Cabal soldiers that they need to kill to complete the “Eliminating Caiatl’s Cabal” triumph.
For this challenge, players need to have listened to all five of the audio messages left at the terminal in the H.E.L.M. When players spawn in to the H.E.L.M, they need to turn slightly to the left and head forward, passing the post box terminal, until they reach a small blue monitor terminal. Players then need to follow the button prompt to play an audio log. If players have multiple audio logs to catch up on, they will have to reload into the H.E.L.M to listen to the next one. Once all five messages have played, players should unlock the challenge.
This simple challenge requires players to get multi-kills by rapidly defeating three or more enemies. When players are completing Battleground mission and Proving Ground runs for Challenger’s Proving VII quest and the Proving Grounds Trifecta challenge, multi-kills should be very easy to get.
For this challenge, players need to unlock the Toxicology ornament for the Season of the Chosen seasonal weapon, the Salvager’s Salvo Grenade Launcher. After players have unlocked the weapon, they will need to speak to the Drifter down in the Tower Annex to pick up his quest which rewards players with the Gambit-themed ornament upon completion. This quest tasks players with banking motes and getting 100 Grenade Launcher kills in Gambit.
To complete this challenge, players need to earn five Valor ranks. Players earn Valor after completing Crucible matches and sometimes as a reward for turning in daily Crucible bounties. Since Iron Banner is back this week, and there was an Iron Banner seasonal challenge back in week three, any players that have not played any Iron Banner so far should definitely queue into the playlist to get some XP and Bright Dust rewards.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light and the new Season of the Chosen are available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
