Guerrilla Games Shares Gorgeous Images of New Amsterdam Studio
Guerrilla Games, the Dutch video game development studio behind the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn series, is no doubt hard at work right now on Horizon's sequel. It seems that Horizon: Forbidden West is still on track for 2021, though no solid release date or window has been given out by the team just yet.
Though, it seems like Guerrilla Games may have had to shift priority ever so slightly as of late, if a recent Instagram post is any indication. According to the development team's official Instagram account, Guerrilla Games is moving into a brand new studio space in Amsterdam soon, and the pictures the team shared of the new space look absolutely stunning.
The pictures of the space on the studio's Instagram account show a beautifully modern studio space filled with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Additionally, the main office space seems to house tons of vibrant, leafy plants adorning the shelves and corners of the room. The studio also shared a picture of what looks to be a 3D printed, all-white sculpture of a Stalker machine, one of the enemy machines from Horizon Zero Dawn. All in all, the studio space looks incredibly beautiful and will most likely prove to be an excellent source for the team to build morale when working on their next projects.
However, it seems that Guerrilla Games hasn't moved into the space just yet, with the Instagram caption reading, "We can't wait to come home to our new studio in Amsterdam! One familiar friend has already claimed their spot..." The latter half of the caption refers to the Stalker statue mentioned above, which is appears to be something of a tradition now, considering Guerrilla Games' previous studio space had equally impressive statue of a Watcher - another basic enemy from Horizon Zero Dawn. Whether the team has yet to move in due to ongoing construction or the ongoing pandemic remains unclear.
Hopefully, the team makes the transition to their new office space soon, seeing as it will no doubt make development much easier. Fans are incredibly eager to see what Horizon Forbidden West has in store for them. Though we've seen brief looks at the world of Horizon Forbidden West, details about the game remain a bit sparse, aside from what we know from the reveal trailer and what Guerrilla has hinted at over time. Still, the details we do know, such as the game taking place in US states like Utah, Nevada and California, definitely makes Forbidden West enticing.
With any luck, Guerrilla Games will start trickling out more and more details as we get further into 2021. With Horizon Zero Dawn's fourth anniversary just passing by, a lot of fans shared their support for the series online. Needless to say, Horizon Forbidden West has a lot of expectations to meet whenever it finally releases. Hopefully, this new studio space helps Guerrilla Games meet, or even exceed, those lofty expectations.
