Apex Legends Leaker Reveals Details About Potential New Character
Reliable Apex Legends dataminer Biast12 has leaked new details about a potential character. Biast12 shared a tweet containing what appears to be screenshots of ability descriptions for a potential new character named Pariah. This is not the first time the character has been seen in game files. Back in October, Pariah was included in a leak that revealed potential upcoming characters in Apex Legends.
The leaked abilities may shed some light on who this Apex Legends character could be. According to the leak, Pariah's ultimate ability "Sacrificial Romantic" will utilize a SDM device to release a "flurry of steam in all directions." Pariah will be unable to move during the ultimate, but the steam will do damage directly to enemies' health. Pariah's tactical operates like a recon tool much like Bloodhound's or Crypto's. Pariah's "Sonar Grenade" will reveal enemies within the grenade's area of effect, lasting 15 seconds.
Pariah's passive ability "Aplomb Training" enables the character to see enemy health bars, and makes Pariah immune to stunning effects and other SDM devices. If stunning effects include everything that slows characters, Pariah's passive may be a very powerful counter to other abilities. However, the leaked abilities may be subject to change, especially since Pariah is most likely not the Season 9 legend.
There is a lot of speculation about who the Season 9 legend could be, as a few characters are potential candidates for the new spot. Titanfall 2 antagonist Blisk has been recently leaked and would match up with the planned Titanfall content in Season 9. Some suggest that Valk will be the Season 9 legend based on her silhouette in an Apex Legends social media post. However, there is a chance Respawn is creating a diversion similar to Revenant killing off the expected legend Forge in Season 4.
Pariah's leaked abilities suggest that the character could be coming to the game soon. However, Blisk's abilities have been leaked numerous times, as far back as Season 3, and he is still not a character. Both characters may still be planned for upcoming seasons though. Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier revealed that Respawn already has characters planned through Season 12, so the leaks may have given a preview of the next few additions.
Apex Legends Season 9 is expected to start at the beginning of May, so fans will be able to find out what the new character is soon. With tons of Titanfall content and a number of character changes planned, the next season of Apex Legends could be a game-changer.
