Destiny 2 Season 14 Name Seemingly Confirmed By Bungie
Destiny 2 is approaching the end of its current season, Season of the Chosen, and with the end of one season, the hype for the next season begins to ramp up. Increased anticipation has brought with it some potentially leaked information about Destiny 2’s Season 14.
While Bungie has not yet officially announced the name of Season 14, many Destiny fans have started hunting for the information themselves. Potential leaks around Destiny’s Season 14 have suggested various information from the name of the season to the Exotics that will also be returning.
While some previous information pointed to Season 14 being titled “Season of the Collective” and detailed a Stasis version of the Vex Mythoclast, recent information looks to disprove Season of the Collective, at least in the name. Twitter user joshhunt previously shared images of Bungie’s website code that listed Season of the Splicer under Destiny’s seasons.
More recent images from joshhunt seem to showcase that Bungie has changed code to hide the name of the Season, leading many people to believe that Season of the Splicer is the correct name of Season 14. Another Twitter user, JonNeumann410, replied with a list of Crow’s dialogue, pointing out that there is a line where Crow references Splicers working with Guardians.
With Crow potentially having dialogue that also references the Splicers, it is a good chance that these leaks are a peek into what Season 14 has to offer Guardians. The Season of the Splicer news has sparked a conversation around Siva returning to Destiny 2 and what role it will play. For many Guardians, Siva presents a dangerous threat to humanity.
Bungie has been slowly adding Siva-themed ornaments into Destiny 2, even though Siva is not in Destiny 2. With multiple Siva-themed ornaments and these potential leaks, Siva may very well be on the menu for Season 14, making Season of the Splicers a fitting name for the season.
The Destiny community also seems ready for a new Siva narrative as #SeasonOfThePlague and #PlagueGang have been gaining popularity on Twitter. While Season of the Splicer is not quite the name that the community has been talking about, it certainly is the same content.
Assuming that these leaks are true, Siva fans will be happy to see Siva finally enter Destiny 2 outside of some cosmetic items. However, as with all leaks, this information may not be accurate and Bungie may have something else planned for Guardians to explore.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
