Indie Game Blasphemous is Getting a Deluxe Physical Release
Blasphemous, the 2D indie action game heavily inspired by Dark Souls, has had outstanding success since its release in September 2019. Not only has developer The Game Kitchen confirmed over a million players have experienced Blasphemous for themselves, but it's also had a successful physical edition run that's long sold out. It seems the physical run was so successful that publisher Team17 has decided to do it again. A new deluxe edition of Blasphemous for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One is coming this summer.
The Blasphemous Deluxe Edition is officially coming from UK manufacturer Sold Out. Included with the Blasphemous box is a ton of great content. Included with the product is a 34-track digital soundtrack, a 195-page digital artbook, a digital comic, two in-game character skins, a physical sticker sheet, as well as a 180x290mm poster of the land of Cvstodia. For those hoping for a collectible Blasphemous package with everything included, this sounds like the product.
As for details regarding how to pick up the Blasphemous Deluxe Edition, Sold Out has shared some initial details. What is clear is that pre-orders should be available globally through various retailers, but couldn't be found at the time of this article's publication. Buyers will then get their copy of the game starting June 29. What isn't clear is if the Blasphemous Deluxe Edition will be a limited edition or not, as well as its pricing. Expect further details in the weeks and months to come.
The key point is that Blasphemous fans, as well as potential new Blasphemous players, now have the opportunity to pick up a physical edition of the game if they so choose. Further, it's bundled with a lot of great content for collectors. Blasphemous has a bright future, indeed.
Blasphemous is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
