Monster Hunter Rise: How to Get Thunder Sac | Game Rant
Monster Hunter Rise, like the other Monster Hunter titles, has many different materials that hunters can find and collect to use for crafting new, more powerful armor sets and weapons. Some of these items can be obtained in the Low-Rank quests at the beginning of the game, but some materials can only be obtained once players have access to the High-Rank Hub quests, such as an item called Thunder Sac --not to be confused with an Electro Sac.
The Thunder Sac can be used to craft gear that leans toward the Thunder element in Monster Hunter Rise and it can be collected via two different methods, with one being much easier than the other. By using this guide, players can find out how to get the Sac without spending too much time searching for it.
Thunder Sacs are a type of material that is found by fighting against two monsters: the Khezu and the Tobi-Kadachi. Both of these monsters have to be fought via High-Rank quests or expeditions.
For Khezu, players have a 21% chance of getting a Thunder Sac via Target Rewards, which just means that players have to finish a Khezu quest and cross their fingers that they get the item from the RNG gods. Players also have a 20% chance of getting the item by slaying the monster and carving it, and there's also an 18% chance to get the Thunder Sac by capturing the Khezu.
And as for Tobi-Kadachi, Monster Hunter Rise players only have a 14% chance of getting a Thunder Sac and that's through the Target Rewards. This item will not be able to be collected from Tobi-Kadachi through any other method.
For players wondering just when these High-Rank quests will show up at the quest counter, there will be a 4-star Khezu quest titled "Night of the Khezu" in the Gathering Hub, and there's a 6-star quest titled "Skies are Gray" that will task players with taking down a Tobi-Kadachi. If players would rather go on an expedition to hunt these monsters, then they should head on over to the Flooded Forest in High Rank to find a Khezu, or the Lava Caverns to fight Tobi.
Monster Hunter Rise is now out for the Nintendo Switch. A PC port is set to launch in early 2022.
