NICKIMERCs Believes Warzone's Aim Assist Is Stronger Then Fortnite's
During a stream with SypherPK, popular Call of Duty: Warzone content creator NICKMERCS discussed the aim assist systems in two popular shooters. While Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite may be two dramatically different games, they both contain a version of aim assist. Depending on the system, players may experience different levels of this feature.
Aim assist is a feature mainly tuned for controller players to aid in hitting moving targets. For some shooter fans, aim assist is a vital component that helps balance against the pin-point accuracy of PC keyboard and mouse players. Call of Duty's aim assist has often been judged to be rather strong, and now NICKMERCS is weighing in on the discussion.
While streaming Fornite with SypherPK, NICKMERCs explained that he believes Call of Duty aim assist is stronger than Fornite's. While this is the present situation, he does not that Fornite has changed its aim to assist over the years to the point where the is a discernable difference to the FPS alternative. However, while Fornite's aim assist is weaker than Call of Duty, he does state that it is more reliable overall. While this could be attributed to the different styles of gameplay, NICKMERCS believes that both games have problems with their aim assist despite their varying strengths.
He does comment on a major issue with the Call of Duty's aim assist feature that does not appear within Fortnite. In his experience, Call of Duty aim assist will simply disappear upon occasion, often in the middle of a fight leaving players with only manual aiming for the battle. This can often result in players either pushing through or ducking for cover as their accuracy immediately drops at a noticeable rate.
Meanwhile, Fornite has a consistent aim assist throughout the game, and while weaker, it will not simply disappear. This does make it a more reliable feature despite its weaker strength overall. Call of Duty: Warzone may not have the strength of an aimbot, but it does lock on targets faster nonetheless. While there is a perk to the reliability of Fortnite, many players argue that strength has a stronger impact on the overall aim assist feature.
Again, these features mainly affect controller players within battle royale titles. Call of Duty: Warzone controller settings can be adjusted, and the same goes for Fortnite. While both titles have varying aim assist qualities, the fact remains that the feature is vital for controller player success in shooter environments.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
