NieR Replicant: The Missing Girl Side Quest Walkthrough
NieR Replicant thrusts players into an open world filled with side quests. Completing these side quests gives players access to a lot of early game gold, items, and weapons. These all become available shortly after meeting Grimoire Weiss, although any NieR Replicant trophy hunters or those saving them for last otherwise should beware. NieR Replicant is split into two halves, and any side quests in the first half can't be completed once in the second half.
Altogether, there are 36 side quests for NieR Replicant players to go through. While not super complicated, they do task players with completing a variety of different objectives. Some of these are somewhat simple, like hunting for a boar, while others might require players to go searching for rare Eagle eggs. As long as players keep in mind that the items obtained may become valuable commodities in the future, completing all of them, while tedious, definitely pays off.
For "The Missing Girls" side quest, NieR Replicant players can start it by speaking to a masked person in Facade, located in the northwest corner and slightly north of the Strange-Things shop. On the map below, the NPC is marked with a yellow dot. She'll ask players to help her look for her daughter, stating that she is wearing a gold ring. From here, players will need to speak with a series of masked persons around the town to help locate the daughter.
- First, players will need to speak three NPCs, marked with white dots on the map above. Specifically, the NPCs are located outside of the King's Mansion, one near the Strange-Things shop, and one on a roof near the shop.
- Once all of the NPCs have been spoken with, NieR Replicant fans need to navigate to the lowest level of the town to find a bloodstain, once more, near the Strange-Things shop. On the map above, the bloodstain is marked with a red dot, which players should examine.
- From where the bloodstain is, players need to make a 180. In the distance, there should be a Treasury Guard with a speech bubble above his head, making him available for players to speak with. He'll send players over to the entrance gate to speak with another guard.
- At the entrance gate, the guard will reveal crucial details about the NieR Replicant NPC. This information will direct players to a sandspout well outside of Facade. Heading into the desert, players should navigate towards the sandspout closest to the town.
- Finally, players will return to the girl's family to inform them of the news. In exchange, the quest completes and grants 10,000 gold as a reward.
