Ninjala and Monster Hunter Rise Collaboration Event Starts Today
It's been almost an entire year since GungHo Online launched the free-to-play multiplayer action game Ninjala on the Nintendo Switch, and the title recently hit a whopping total of six million downloads, which is no easy feat for a brand-new IP. Since its launch, GungHo has been supporting the game with new seasons and even some collaborations with iconic gaming characters like Sonic the Hedgehog.
Earlier this month, the developers/publisher revealed that the next collaboration event would be with Capcom's Monster Hunter series, specifically Monster Hunter Rise. The event will add a variety of customization items that come straight from the action-RPG franchise, such as Avatar Costumes, Emotes, and more.
Ninjala players will be excited to hear that the collab event is now live in-game and will last until May 26, giving fans plenty of time to check out all of the neat content. There are three new costumes up for grabs in the game's Speciality Shop that feature designs from Monster Hunter Rise, which includes the Kamura Style, Rathalos Style, and Aknosom Style costumes.
There are also three new emotes that allow Ninjala players to cook some BBQ over a fire (Monster Hunter style) and there's a Weapon Sharpening one that MH fans will also be familiar with. These don't add anything to the overall combat of Ninjala, but they're there for some plain ol' fun.
For Monster Hunter fans that can't get enough of Palico's and Palamute's, there are new Gum Utsusemi that lets players literally turn into one of the two animal companions and sneak up on their foes during matches. And if that's not enough, there are new IPPON decorations featuring the two types of animals, and there's a Monster Hunter t-shirt to show off. And by simply logging into the game during the event, players will get a Palico sticker, as well as an IPPON decoration for playing in matches.
Ninjala is a fairly simple multiplayer game to jump into, but there are still some aspects of the title that can be confusing to first-time players. For those that are getting into it for the first time thanks to this new Monster Hunter collab event, knowing the best Ninjala beginner tips will certainly come in handy in order to get first place.
Currently, Ninjala is in its fifth season and this time around it's themed around fairy tales. The season introduced three new weapon types to the game and flashy costumes for players to sink their teeth into.
Ninjala and Monster Hunter Rise are both available for the Nintendo Switch.
