Pokemon GO: How to Catch Azumarill for the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge
The latest event to come to Pokemon GO is the Spring into Spring event. Like many other in-game events, the Spring into Spring event offers players a variety of tasks to complete for rewards as well as increased spawn rates for certain Pokemon.
For some Pokemon GO players, the biggest part of this event is the Spring into Spring collection challenge. Players have until April 8th at 8:00 PM in players' local times to collect the required Pokemon. Completing this challenge in time will reward players with a Lucky Egg, 50 Lopunny Mega Energy, and 2,500 XP.
There are quite a few Pokemon for the collection challenge that are on the trickier side when it comes to finding them. One of these Pokemon is Azumarill, the final evolution of Azurill and Marill. This Pokemon is a dual Water and Fairy-type Pokemon, making it weak to only Poison, Electric, and Grass-type moves. Azumarill also resists damage from Bug, Fighting, Water, Ice, Dark, Fire, and Dragon-type moves.
Unlike getting Diggersby, players can't get Azumarill for this challenge by evolving Marill to have it count. Instead, players will need to participate in the exclusive field research tasks for the Spring into Spring event.
There are five different field research tasks for Spring into Spring that players can get by spinning PokeStops, but only one will give an encounter with Azumarill as a prize. This field research task is the "Catch 15 Exeggcute" task. The other tasks give players encounters with Pokemon that can be found among the increased spawn rates for the event such as Flower Crown Pikachu, Flower Crown Eevee, Flower Crown Chansey, and Buneary. Players can additionally encounter Rufflet, which can be hatched from 2km eggs at this time.
If players can't get the right field research task for Azumarill's encounter, they are recommended to keep traveling to other PokeStops until they find the right one. Players, however, should note that they will need at least one free spot in their field research task list in order to take on any new ones. They also cannot get a new task from a PokeStop if they have completed the one they got from that PokeStop on the same day. For more tasks, players will need to visit more PokeStops.
Catching 15 Exeggcute shouldn't be too much trouble during the Spring into Spring event due to the increased spawn rates of the Pokemon for the event itself. Additionally, members of Team GO Rocket will be using Shadow Exeggcute for players to rescue.
Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS.
