Pokemon GO: Spring into Spring Field Research Tasks and Rewards
Spring is in full bloom for many in the Northern Hemisphere with Pokemon GO players being able to more freely play the game without worrying about the cold. In celebration of spring, the Spring into Spring event has begun in-game and will be running from April 4 to April 8.
As with many Pokemon GO events, the Spring into Spring event has special increased spawn rates of certain Pokemon, a collection challenge, and event-exclusive field research tasks. Each of this event's field research tasks will provide players with special Pokemon encounters as a reward.
Players can pick up these field research tasks from any PokeStop by spinning its disk while having a free space in their current field research tasks. While the Spring into Spring field research tasks can only be collected during the active dates of the event, the tasks themselves can be completed at any time with their reward not changing.
There are five different field research tasks that players can collect during this event. They are:
Catch five Exeggcute - Encounter with Flower Crown Pikachu, Flower Crown Eevee, or Flower Crown Buneary
Catch 15 Exeggcute - Encounter with Azumarill
Catch 25 Exeggcute - Encounter with Flower Crown Chansey
Win two raids - Encounter with Rufflet
Use an Incense - Encounter with Flower Crown Chansey
The flower crown variants of Pokemon obtained through these field research tasks have no mechanical differences in battle and only have a cosmetic flower crown. Pikachu, Eevee, and Chansey can additionally be still found in their shiny forms while also having a flower crown, creating another challenge for shiny hunters. These Pokemon are additionally still able to evolve with their spring-themed accessories intact.
Of these Pokemon that can be found via field research task rewards, Buneary, Flower Crown Pikachu, Flower Crown Chansey, and Azumarill are all needed for the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge. This can greatly help players trying to complete it before the event finishes up on Thursday. This challenge's completion will give players a Lucky Egg, 50 Lopunny Mega Energy, and 2,500 XP for their profile.
Players will have less than a week to participate in this event and reap all of the possible rewards. Anyone wanting to complete tasks, challenges, or simply wanting to collect all of the adorable flower crown variant Pokemon are recommended to act fast. Some players may get lucky and manage to find and catch a rare shiny Flower Crown Pokemon during their time completing tasks.
Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS.
