Rumor: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Dark Souls Expanding to New Platforms Soon
It seems that a wave of exciting news could be revealed soon, according to one leaking group. If the leaks are to be believed, two of the bigger announcements by Bandai Namco have to do with Dragon Ball Z: Kararot and the Dark Souls series reaching new platforms. However, there are plenty of other announcements potentially coming for Tales of Destiny, Tales of Arise, and Gundam Breaker 4.
To start, leak group LeakyPandy says Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot could be coming to another platform. Originally launched in early 2020, Bandai Namco could be bringing Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot to the Nintendo Switch. This isn't the first time a Switch port for the third-person action game has been leaked, as a Switch logo notably appeared on an official website for Latin America. Bandai Namco has said the logo was posted in error, however. The publisher could be misleading fans to keep its surprise intact, so fans will just have to wait and see.
The Dark Souls series is apparently in a similar position, according to the LeakyPandy. This leak is more ambiguous than the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot claim, as all it says is that Dark Souls will be "expanding further" onto the Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. The original Dark Souls was already remastered and released on Switch in 2018, so perhaps the leak implies Dark Souls 2 and 3 will come to Switch too. None of the Dark Souls series is on Stadia, so it's an open platform for ports.
Three other claims are mentioned in the LeakyPandy post. Perhaps the biggest is that Tales of Arise could be coming to Xbox Game Pass, which would be a major addition to the subscription service. Another surprise is Tales of Destiny, a 1997 RPG, could be coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Lastly, an unannounced Gundam Breaker sequel could be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S for fans of giant robots fighting each other.
The last comment from LeakyPandy is that it has "nothing to say" about Elden Ring. The explanation is that it doesn't know how Bandai Namco is planning to share more information about the RPG. In other words, news may be shared by one of Bandai Namco's partners, like Xbox, rather than Bandai Namco itself.
There's a lot to consider from these leaks, but none of the information is verified. It's best to take it with a grain of salt until further information is available. Also worth considering is that there's no word on when Bandai Namco will be sharing more information. It has no events announced, nor any E3 or other summer plans confirmed. Even with some exciting leaks to consider, Bandai Namco fans will have to be patient.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
