Call of Duty Mobile May Finally be Getting Problematic Roze Skin
Players who take part in the public test build for Call of Duty Mobile get an early peek at upcoming content. This allows many fans to predict the coming weapon meta, experience new operators, and take part in other game testing opportunities. In the most recent Call of Duty Mobile test, one fan highlighted a possibly problematic update coming.
In the past, several weapons have been deemed pay-to-win by the Call of Duty community. With Call of Duty Mobile using a rarity system that has some hard-to-earn weapons, many expected this would happen eventually. Despite that, a new pay-to-win option may be making an appearance in the mobile title from another game.
A frequent Call of Duty Mobile leaker spotted several skins in the game files of the public test build. Titled Roze Virago, the Rook skin is now on the list of content that may be released. It is important to note that not all features from the public test build make it into the final release, but this rumor has sparked concern about another pay-to-win option floating in the game environment. The developers have said the default Roze skin will not be added, and that the Roze Virago is an epic variant of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare operator.
This has not stopped fan speculation due to the infamous nature of the Roze camouflage skin. Call of Duty: Warzone players have long complained the skin is unbalanced, and the mobile title already has a skin causing a similar problem. The fact that Roze was a paid skin which could disappear in plain sight made the game difficult, and patches only slightly reduced its potential.
Many believe that Roze's power comes from the lighting situation within Call of Duty: Warzone, so there is potential for the Roze skin to be less problematic when filtered through a different game engine. While it is a variant of the skin, many believe it will become a pay-to-win option if it comes in the game's Battle Pass or store.
When looking at the Call of Duty Mobile maps, there are several potential spots that can be problematic. While many maps are lit by sunlight with only standard camo as a defense, there are enough dark spots that it could cause trouble for the game's community. Keep in mind that there is no confirmation regarding the skin, only leaks found within the game's current files.
Call of Duty Mobile is available on Android and iOS devices.
