Call of Duty: Warzone Updates Playlists Just In Time for Weekend

The weekend is near, meaning many players are getting ready to play plenty of Call of Duty: Warzone during their time off. Accordingly, developer Raven Software has released Call of Duty: Warzone's weekly playlist update just in time for playing this weekend.

Call of Duty: Warzone is a popular free-to-play battle royale title that can be played across a multitude of rotating modes. Call of Duty: Warzone recently started its Season 3, and has a brand new map for players to explore and fight across with new weapons, operators, and vehicles.

The new playlist update sees three game modes rotating out while three other game modes will be available on top of Call of Duty: Warzone's normal options. The game modes being added are lead by a plunder mode for trios. This mode allows parties of three to jump into a game mode where they have to get kills and complete objectives in a race to be the first team to accumulate $1 million. The mode can be a bit more laid back for players as they have more than just one life. The other two modes both take place on Call of Duty: Warzone's Rebirth Island map with it receiving both Mini Royale Quads and Resurgence Duos that sees players just having to stay alive to bring dead teammates back.

The removed modes include Resurgence Trios on the base Verdanks 84 map, Blood Money Quads for Plunder, as well as Resurgence Trios on Rebirth Island. While many players will likely be happy about the playlist rotation, some are taking to the comments of the tweet to voice their frustration over the lack of the popular quads mode on Rebirth Island. Rebirth Island has been popular ever since it launched in the battle royale, and its playlists rotating out have been the subject of frustration for Call of Duty: Warzone players in the past as well.

Of course, any fans disappointed by the playlist rotation will only have to wait a week for them to rotate again, so hopefully, those players will be happier with the new modes rotated in. Regardless, Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 has satisfied many of its fans, including some of the biggest names in its community, like Dr Disrespect. Hopefully, future seasons and updates will satisfy fans just as much as they continue to play the battle royale and the new Call of Duty title slated for later this year is integrated into the battle royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
