Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer - New Exotic Armor and How to Get Them
Destiny 2, Season of the Splicer may take place during the larger Beyond Light Expansion that is known for Stasis, however, one of the new Exotic Armor pieces in Destiny 2 will directly counter Stasis. The other Exotics are great as well and Guardians will want to grind for them.
Guardians looking for new Exotic Armor pieces will find three new pieces in Destiny 2, Season of the Splicer. The Star-Eater Scales, Boots of the Assembler, and the Stasis countering Titan armor, The Path of Burning Steps are the series of Exotic Armor pieces in Season of the Splicer. Guardians, especially Titans, will want to get these Exotics as soon as possible.
As with previous seasons, the new Destiny 2 Exotic Armor pieces are unlocked by completing Legend or Master Lost Sectors, solo. The Legend Lost Sectors are 1310 Power Level and offer a rare chance at an Exotic Armor reward while the Master is 1340 and grants a common chance at an Exotic Armor reward.
The Legend and Master Lost Sectors rotate their location and the Exotic Armor they award on a daily rotation. Guardians will need to check the daily Legend and Master Lost Sectors for when they are rewarding the Exotic Leg Armor if they want the new Season of the Splicer Exotic Armor pieces.
The Titan Exotic Leg Armor, The Path of Burning Steps, comes with the Exotic Perk, Firewalker, which will periodically grant the wearer an escalating bonus to weapon damage on Solar final blows. The wearer is also harder to slow or freeze with Stasis and when they break out of being frozen, they will take no damage while creating a Solar burst of energy. The Path of Burning Steps may be a top-tier PVP Exotic for many Titans.
Hunters get the Star-Eater Scales in Season of the Splicer. These come with the Exotic Perk, Feast of Light. These Exotic Legs grant additional Super energy from picking up Orbs of Power. While the Guardians Super energy is full, picking up an Orb of Power will overcharge the Super, granting a burst of healing when the Super is cast and a bonus to the Super damage. Hunters will also gain an overshield when the Super is at maximum overcharge.
For the Warlocks of Destiny 2, Boots of the Assembler are the Exotic legs on offer. Boots of the Assembler comes with the Exotic Perk, Blessing of Order. While the Warlock stands in their healing rift, Blessing of Order will create Noble Seekers that seek out allies that are not in a rift and heal them. Empowering rifts change the Noble Seekers to grant bonus damage to the Warlock and their allies. To top it off, When a Noble Seeker finds an ally, the duration of the Warlock’s rift is briefly extended while they are standing in the rift.
These three new Exotic Leg Armor pieces add some creativity to the current set of Exotics in Destiny 2. These Exotics do not work with the new Armor Synthesis in Destiny 2, but Guardians should be able to find uses for all three of these Exotics in the various activities throughout the Sol System.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
