Genshin Impact: How to Visit Friends Serenitea Pot | Game Rant
In the recent 1.5 update to Genshin Impact, players were introduced to a brand new housing system called the Serenitea Pot. Within this adorable kettle lies a vast, open realm in which Genshin Impact players are able to design their very own homes. And one of the most exciting parts about getting to customize something is getting to share it with friends.
If titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Minecraft have proven anything, it’s that players can be quite creative with decorating their spaces. With the Serenitea Pot, Genshin players are able to craft items from the various blueprints they collect. These items include furniture, buildings, trees, and even animals. The numerous possibilities open players up to a number of ways to make their homes unique.
After completing a new quest, and meeting the newest pyro character, Yanfei, players can access their Serenitea Pots from the inventory. Once unlocked, they can visit another player’s home by sending a request to enter their Serenitea Pot. This process is quite simple. If a player wants to visit a friend’s Serenitea Pot realm, they would first need to open their friend list and locate the friend. Once found, click on the friend’s avatar on their profile. Then, using the drop-down menu, find and click on the “Request to visit Serenitea Pot” option. Once sent, it will then be up to the receiving friend to either accept or decline the request. If they choose to accept, then the player will be transported into their friend's Serenitea Pot.
Note that players do not always need to be currently inside their own Serenitea Pots for their friends to visit them. In fact, players can preset their realms to automatically accept or decline requests to join their Serenitea Pots. This function can be found by opening the map for the Serenitea Pot realm. In the upper right corner of the screen, there will be a small icon next to the “close” button. This icon will open a pop-up window. This is the “Guest of the Realm” list. At the bottom of the list will be the “Serenitea Pot Permissions” drop-down menu. From here, players can choose to set their realms to automatically accept (Allow Direct Join) or decline (Reject Join Requests) requests to enter their homes. Players can always switch back to manual approval by choosing the option to “Join After Approval”.
Players who visit other realms will also have the opportunity to check in with Chubby, the Teapot Traveling Salesman. This little spirit can be found in the Serenitea Pot between Friday and Sunday. He will offer a variety of rare items for players to use to decorate their realms. These items can be bought using Realm currency. Chubby sells a different set of items for each player, so checking in with friends can allow players to see what new and exciting items he has for sale.
Genshin Impact is currently available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version also in development.
