Golf With Your Friends: Trickshot Guide For The Oasis | Game Rant
The Oasis map in Golf With Your Friends takes players to Egypt. The course takes players across map stone pillars, interesting shapes, and historical monuments. The Oasis can be a difficult map. Many of the holes require players to take multiple shots and hope for the best.
Trick shots can be a lifesaver on this map. They can get a player from the tee to the hole in a very small number of moves. Get ready, cause it'll take a while to master some of these. As always, remember that not every hole has trick-shot opportunities.
The first hole of the Oasis is pretty straightforward. There is a hole on top of a bridge that can drop a player down to where the hole is or players can take the long route. There are two shots players can take that can make this hole easier. First, players can aim at the palm tree to the right and hit the ball with full power. This will launch the ball close to the hole under the bridge. Otherwise, players could play the game with jump mode on and shoot the ball from the tee towards the hole and jump the walls.
The sixth hole has some great opportunities for players who play in classic mode or if the jump is turned on. Hitting the ball angled to the left at the farthest stone pillar with just under full power will launch the ball into the area to score a hole in one. Players can also take advantage of jump mode by aiming a little to the left of the flag. Hit the ball with about three bars of power and jump the wall at the last second to fly over to the flag.
Hole seven can be pretty tricky for players who don't know where to hit the ball. There are two stone pillars that players can bank off of to get the ball going in the right direction. Ignore those and aim to the right. On the wall is a string of hieroglyphics. Aim at the one on the end that looks like a square with a triangle in it. Put the cursor exactly on the edge of it and hit the ball with full power. This should send the ball across the hole without needing to bank it off the pillars for a hole in one.
The tenth hole of the course has multiple pathways to take. One goes over a bridge and one goes under. There is also a path that goes up a hill for players to shoot over the gap. Ignore all of these paths if jump mode is activated and aim at the edge of the pillar directly to the right.
Aim at the right edge of it and hit the ball with about two bars of power. Players can then take advantage of jump mode to jump the barrier and land right next to the hole.
Hole eleven finally brings in some water for players to take advantage of. Whether jump mode is on or off, players can still jump in the water to score a possible hole in one. Hit the ball into the water and let it float on down. There is an area of the river that goes right next to the hole. When the ball is just about to turn into the straight section, hit the jump button to launch the ball over the wall and either into or next to the hole.
The twelfth hole of the course has an annoying rotating platform that can really throw players off. Luckily, a trick shot can bypass that platform. Hit the ball forward enough to get it to the small hill straight ahead. One next to the hill hit the ball straight at the flag with a little under full power and it should stay on the platform with the hole.
Start off the thirteenth hole by aiming to the right with about one and three-fourths bars worth of power to get the ball to rest next to the jump. When next to the jump, aim at the gingerbread man that is standing on top of the sphinx in the distance. Hit the ball again with a little less than three bars of power and it should fly into the hole or at least get close.
The sixteenth hole has players spawn in front of four huge ramps. A nice trick for getting close to the hole here is to take advantage of these large ramps. Aim the ramps on the left side. The one that is closer to the center is the one players will want to aim at.
Aim for the area about halfway up the ramp and hit the ball with full power. This should send the ball across the course and over to where the hole is.
The seventeenth hole is perhaps the hardest to perform a trick shot on. There are two ways to perform one though. First, players who are doing standard classic can aim at the left wall next to where the ball spawns. There is a distant pillar next to a statue to use for aiming the ball. Hit the ball with full power and it should be able to bank into or next to the hole. Alternately, players with jump mode active can hit the ball straight with about three bars of power. Jump across the two open areas to land near the hole.
For the eighteenth hole, players can aim at the center pillars with full power to bank off of it and go near the hole. It is impossible to bank it in a way that will allow players to get a hole in one, but they can get close. Hitting the pillar will cause the ball to sail over to the hole and just a light tap will let the player get a two.
