Humble Bundle is Offering a Massive Covid Relief Bundle Right Now
The Humble Bundle has a long legacy of supporting important charitable efforts across the world. Now is understandably an appropriate time to bring that tradition back to support ongoing outbreaks of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil and India. Today, Humble Bundle launched the Heal: COVID-19 bundle. The bundle asks for $20 or more, all of which will go to four key medical charities, and rewards donators with over 20 games, as well as a variety of books, comics, and software.
All purchase proceeds from the Heal: COVID-19 bundle will go to charity. The specific charities being supported are Direct Relief, Doctors Without Borders, International Medical Corps, and GiveIndia. The first three charities are medical organizations whose goals are to provide medical services, particularly in emergencies. GiveIndia's primary focus is alleviating poverty, with a current goal of covering gaps in healthcare in the midst of the pandemic.
While the cause of the Heal: COVID-19 bundle is worthy in and of itself of a $20 purchase, Humble Bundle and its partners have made the choice much easier. Games within the bundle include Undertale, Hyper Light Drifter, The Witness, BioShock Remastered, Baba is You, Saints Row: The Third, Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, Superhot, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Into the Breach, Brutal Legend, and many more.
Also included in the bundle are several self-help books like You Can Do All Things, and The Ultimate Sh*t Hits the Fan Survival Guide, comics like Locke & Key Vol. 1: Welcome to Lovecraft, and software including Music Maker: Hip Hop Edition and Ashampoo Photo Optimizer 7. It's a diverse range of content showing the diversity within not just the gaming community, but many different communities coming together for a good cause.
For those curious how the distribution of this diverse selection of games, books, comics, and software is dealt with, it's surprisingly simple. Everything within the Heal: COVID-19 bundle can be redeemed through Steam and runs on Windows. Many of the games also support both Mac and Linux devices as well. The comics and books are all available in both PDF and ePub formats, with the ebooks also being available in MOBI, so they're supported across almost all devices.
In the six or so hours that the Heal: COVID-19 Bundle has been live, a meaningful $143,000 has already been raised. The bundle will remain available for another six days and eighteen hours, though that time's ticking down. Again, purchasing the bundle and contributing to the charity costs just $20, though those wanting to contribute more can add as much as they'd like.
The Heal: COVID-19 Humble Bundle will end on May 19.
