Miitopia: How to Open Wayward Woods Chest | Game Rant
With the rerelease of the Nintendo 3DS's Miitopia on the Switch, players are reliving the nostalgic journey of their Miis through a dangerous RPG-style journey. With new Miitopia Mii customization options, players can create, play, and treasure hunt once again to battle the Dark Lord. But there is one treasure chest that is located just in view, but can't be reached, and it's located in the Wayward Woods.
The Miitopia Wayward Woods is a dense forest between Greenhorne Castle and Neksdor. There is a lot of questing to be done in this area, and has several quests and creatures in the area for mid to high-level characters. Both of the major quests here have to do with the Royal Court, and players will mostly likely notice a treasure chest that is tantalizingly out of reach. There are no paths that lead to the chest, however, so players must move on through the Woods and come back later to claim their prize.
Although there are some differences between the original 3DS version and the Switch version of Miitopia, this quest isn't one of them. In order to access the chest, players will first have to complete the Prince's escort quest. The Prince from a Nearby Land will need to be brought back to the Castle from the Arid Frontier. While the Prince is in a player's party, he doesn't do much to help out, so players are going to have to battle through the woods and the boss, a tough Griffin, all on their own. But once the Prince has been returned to Greenhorne castle, several paths that were closed to the player before suddenly open up. This includes the path to that secret Treasure Chest in the Wayward Woods.
Thankfully, the Greenhorne Castle is fairly early in the game. In fact, it was part of the Nintendo Switch's Demo version of Miitopia. So players won't have to wait a long time in order to get this chest for themselves. The quest to help the Prince out will occur after players have returned the townspeople's faces and found out the location of the Besmirched Noble's Son and the Princess's beautiful Face.
Once players have nabbed their well-earned treasure, they will be able to move on past the Castle and continuing into the next hours of their approximately 30-hour playthrough of Miitopia.
Miitopia is available now for Nintendo Switch.
