New Pokemon Snap: Meganium's Pal Request Guide | Game Rant
Something that New Pokemon Snap brings to the table this time around are new requests that players can turn in to the NPC characters. These requests act as side quests of sorts, tasking players to finding specific Pokemon that are in certain positions or doing certain actions. For the request known as Meganium's Pal, players will need to capture a photo of a Meganium after it has been greeted by another Pokemon.
In order to successfully complete this request, players must first have access to Florio Nature Park's Illumina Spot at research level 2. This is a small stage that will have a special Meganium for players to photograph. And before players try to get this request completed, they will also need to have access to Fluffruits. This can be a little tricky at first for players to get a handle on, but once they figure out the steps necessary, this can be done without much of a hassle.
The first thing that New Pokemon Snap players want to do is make sure that Meganium starts off the level on the right side of the field, standing up. There are several different positions that Meganium can start off at, but her standing up on the right is one way to ensure that she ends up being in the correct position. Once Meganium starts walking past the line of four trees, Meganium should start walking towards a tree with pink/blue flowers on it.
If players hit this tree with Fluffruit as soon as Meganium starts to pass by it, Hoothoot will fall off and land on top of Meganium, stunning it momentarily. This is the moment that players will need to photograph in order for the request to be completed.
It appears to be somewhat random at times, as Meganium will sometimes choose to avoid the large tree entirely, making this New Pokemon Snap request impossible to complete unless the player restarts the expedition over again.
If players start hitting the tree before Meganium gets there, a few Combee will begin to appear as well, which can be good for snapping an extra photo or two.
There will be a point once it's walked a bit past the tree, that Meganium will stop for a split second and that is the opportune moment to hit the upper branches of the tree for the Hoothoot to drop down. Make sure to snap the photo as fast as possible once it does fall, as this moment can be easily missed out on.
New Pokemon Snap is now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
