Biomutant - Every Automatic Rifle In The Game, Ranked | Game Rant

The go-to gun for anyone seeking a versatile and rapid-firing weapon that still packs a punch is usually an Automatic Rifle. In the action RPG Biomutant, by Swedish developer Experiment 101, this breed of firearm fills a familiar niche as the most convenient blend of high fire rate, great accuracy, and long effective range.

There are 7 base Automatic Rifles in the game that players can find and use to create even deadlier weapons, and the best of them are those with the best balance of the above-mentioned traits in addition to a few other less immediately noticeable factors. Be sure to keep one's build goals in mind when deciding on which guns to upgrade and bring onto the battlefield, as the New World holds many threats that will challenge one's character.

7 Nailspike

Nailspike Fire Rate - 70/100

Nailspike Accuracy - 65/100

Nailspike Effective Range - 17/100

Nailspike Magazine Size - 36

Nailespike Reload Speed - 40/100

Put simply, the Nailspike is the worst base Automatic Rifle if the player actually wants to take down enemies at medium range. While it has a high fire rate and decent accuracy, it does not have the stopping power to mow down foes who aren't very close to entering melee range. At that point, it would be more effective to use a handgun or swap to one's favorite close-combat bludgeon or blade.

6 Fullpulse

Fullpulse Fire Rate - 70/100

Fullpulse Accuracy - 90/100

Fullpulse Effective Range - 17/100

Fullpulse Magazine Size - 36

Fullpulse Reload Speed - 45/100

Even prior to getting loaded up with add-ons, the Fullpulse comes with a top-tier fire rate and excellent accuracy, which usually allows it to become a formidable armament. However, the minimal effective range dooms it to be less dangerous than other Automatic Rifle bases for similar reasons that the Nailspike is lacking.

5 Doom

Doom Fire Rate - 25/100

Doom Accuracy - 90/100

Doom Effective Range - 100/100

Doom Magazine Size - 18

Doom Reload Speed - 45/100

With such an intimidating name, players often expect something that would be at home in a DOOM game, however, this Automatic Rifle instead appears in Biomutant as an interesting midway point between Automatic Rifles and regular Rifles.

The Doom has the farthest possible effective range for its weapon class and enough accuracy to allow its wielder to snipe foes with an automatic weapon, which makes it a solid firearm, although, if one wants a better gun for this task, players should just use a regular Rifle that comes with greater armor-piercing.

Automatic Rifles are meant for medium-range combat, a task that means sometimes clearing out crowds of foes. With such a low fire rate, the Doom simply won't be able to keep up with large groups of enemies like most other Automatic Rifles can.

4 Hyprozapper

Hyprozapper Fire Rate - 50/100

Hyprozapper Accuracy - 90/100

Hyprozapper Effective Range - 50/100

Hyprozapper Magazine Size - 36

Hyprozapper Reload Speed - 45/100

The Hyprozapper is a solid all-rounder in that it does everything fairly well, and is backed up by the usually awesome Automatic Rifle accuracy, though this also means it does not excel at much either. A generous magazine size and usable reload speed make it great for when things get intense and more rounds need to be fired. Players can't go wrong with this gun as a base component, though, there are better ones for this weapon class.

3 Twiddle

Twiddle Fire Rate - 70/100

Twiddle Accuracy - 90/100

Twiddle Effective Range - 55/100

Twiddle Magazine Size - 36

Twiddle Reload Speed - 40/100

Players seeking one of the better Automatic Rifles should pick up the Twiddle weapon base if they find one in a shop or on the remains of foes, as it's very much like the all-around usable Hyprozapper but with a higher fire rate, though trades away a little bit of reload speed.

2 Bulletspinno

Bulletspinno Fire Rate - 70/100

Bulletspinno Accuracy - 90/100

Bulletspinno Effective Range - 50/100

Bulletspinno Magazine Size - 36

Bulletspinno Reload Speed - 65/100

There are a lot of similarities between the Twiddle and Bulletspinno in terms of stats, however, the latter drops a bit in effective range. This may be a minor hindrance but the Bulletspinno more than makes up for this with a significantly faster reload speed. In combination with the huge magazine size, this lets the player make full use of the other sufficient stats to lay waste to enemy ranks.

1 Pufoper

Pufoper Fire Rate - 55/100

Pufoper Accuracy - 70/100

Pufoper Effective Range - 100/100

Pufoper Magazine Size - 18

Pufoper Reload Speed - 40/100

What immediately stands out about the Pufoper is its incredible effective range that matches that of the Doom, though does not sacrifice nearly as much fire rate. The accuracy is a bit lacking compared to other Automatic Rifles, however, all of the Pufoper's flaws are vastly overshadowed by the fact that it is the only Automatic Rifle base to possess an innate chance to do critical hits.

This chance isn't small either, as it has a huge 45% chance to perform a critical hit with every bullet, which, on a firearm that can unload many in a short duration, is absolutely devastating. When the player begins attaching add-ons to the Pufoper, it is almost guaranteed to become the best possible Automatic Rifle.
