Ratchet and Clank PS5 Bundles Coming Soon? | Game Rant
The beloved Ratchet & Clank series has been PlayStation exclusive since it began, and the new title, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is no exception. For those who thought they would have to miss out on the newest release thanks to the scarcity of PlayStation 5 consoles, or for those who wanted to join in the weaponized fun but had no luck acquiring the next-gen console, there's a possible chance coming soon to grab Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and the console for themselves in one bundle together.
Ever since the release of the first Ratchet & Clank title, the Lombax and robot duo have been a PlayStation mainstay outside of a brief mobile gig once. In addition, the well-performing and critically acclaimed Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a PS5 console exclusive, but in Europe, that's being used to Sony's possible gain.
A listing for a bundle containing the PlayStation 5 console as well as the base game for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was spotted on Amazon's German side, and seemed to be rather well-received since it has sold out completely since it was discovered. The way the box appears on the listing seems to suggest that the bundle isn't exclusive to Germany, but available to the European region as a whole.
While this sold out rather instantly, there's been no sign of listing for other regions from any other retailers. Still, with how well Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is set to sell as the first Ratchet & Clank title since 2016, it would be very easy to cash in on the title's release and the shortage of PS5s by selling this bundle in other countries such as the US.
Bundles like these for North America don't usually appear until the base game has a chance to sell on its own. Even though there hasn't been a chance for the bundle to reach those in other countries yet, perhaps this bundle might make its way to other places around Christmas time, where it would be the easiest to cash in with those wanting to get a PS5 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
There is a chance that this bundle could very well be a European exclusive, despite the great opportunity. While there's plenty of reasons Sony and Insomniac Games would team up to sell the game with the console to boost sales, sometimes there are reasons behind the scenes that keep things from reaching other potential customers. Time is the waiting game that potential buyers have to play, keeping their money close and waiting for when to strike since if this bundle isn't exclusive, it still might sell out faster than one could blink.
