Pokemon Unite: How to Upgrade Items | Game Rant
Many new Pokemon Unite fans can finally sink their teeth into the game after many months of patiently waiting. And with a hugely diverse cast of Pokemon, there are quite a few team possibilities to make matches more interesting.
Aside from which Pokemon players should get, another important aspect of the game is which items to give the Pokemon to make them as strong as possible. On top of that, there are also ways to increase the Pokemon's equipment before battle to give them an extra stat boost.
However, there are quite a few steps involved, and it takes some back and forth navigating through menus. So for Pokemon Unite fans looking to give their Pokemon a better fighting chance in matches, here is how to upgrade their items.
To start, gamers will need a ton of Aeos Coins, which serve as the in-game currency for Pokemon Unite. Once trainers have gathered a decent amount of savings, they should find their way into the shop and drop them down into the items tab. From there, scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on the "Item Enhancer" item with a purple and orange-looking battery logo.
The total amount is 50 Aeos Coins for one Item Enhancer, but fans can purchase up to 50 at once if they want to save time, which will cost 2,500 Aeos Coins. Once players have bought the desired amount, they need to head back to the main menu and find their way into the Held Items menu. Each Pokemon are able to hold up to three items, each offers their own stat boosts and cost different amount of Item Enhancers to level up.
When players click on the item they would like to enhance, they simply need to press the upgrade button on the bottom right to increase the item level. It will show above the upgrade button how many Item Enhancers it will take, and how much of a difference it will make in terms of a stat upgrade.
If players are short on funds, the best way to earn more Aeos Coins is to play more ranked matches and get the rewards for hitting certain milestones. Gamers can also purchase different items in the shop if they prefer a different set of stat boosts, but they will have to start leveling up the new item from scratch. Hopefully, this guide helps new Pokemon trainers work their way up the leaderboard and gives them a helping hand in matches.
Pokemon Unite releases on July 21st for Switch and later for mobile.
