World of Warcraft: Key of the Inner Chambers And Ring of Self-Reflection Locations
World of Warcraft's recent Chains of Domination update is offering players plenty of new content to enjoy, including a brand new faction, the Archivists' Codex. Players can earn the services of the Archivists' codex by helping the faction to collect artifacts from around World of Warcraft's new Korthia zone. One object of particular interest is the Ring of Self-Reflection.
The Archivists' Codex has valuable services for its allies, but will only offer them to characters who proven their allegiance to the Codex by delivering Korthian relics to them. When a player turns in a Korthian relic to the Codex, the Codex will award a sort of currency known as "Catalogued Research." Catalogued Research is only attainable from the Archivists' Codex and is only useable at the Archivists' Codex. It can be spent on a variety of goods (the selection expanding with the character's faction standing) or exchanged for Archivists' Codex reputation at a rate of 2-to-1.
Most Korthian relics that a player will encounter are loot, dropped by rare enemies or collected from chests in Korthia and Desmotaeron regions. There are many such artifacts, each worth 1-300 Catalogued Research at the Archivists' Codex. However, there are also a number of artifacts that the Archivists' Codex will specifically ask players to find. These quest-related artifacts aren't dropped or found in chests. These quests aren't necessary to gain reputation with the Archivists' Codex, but each quest-related artifact will grant a character 250 Catalogued Research and 500 Reputation, so the easy errands shouldn't be missed.
One such easy errand is the retrieval of the Ring of Self-Reflection. This is one of four quests given upon completing the Missing Relics quest. Missing Relics is available to all characters who have at least Tier 2 standing with the Archivists' Codex. Simply speak to Roh-Suir in the Reliquary of Remembrance and select the "Missing Relics" quest option. Roh-Suir will ask you to look around the Reliquary and "Commit to memory" (click on) the ghostly images of four missing relics. Speak to Roh-Suir again, and that's it for the Missing Relics quest. No notice will be given that four new quests are available; these quests will actually start when you find the relevant items.
All four relics are locked in Korthian Relic Boxes scattered around Korthia. Each requires a unique key, purchasable from Roh-Suir for 25 Catalogued Research. The box containing the Ring of Self-Reflection is unlocked with the Key of the Inner Chambers. Note that these unique keys never restock, so if you lose one (or, some players report, just buy any before the Missing Relics quest starts) you're plum out of luck. Hopefully, Blizzard will patch the issue.
Once you've got the Key of the Inner Chambers, head to the Vault of Secrets. The box containing the Ring Of Self-Reflection is located right at the structure's western entrance (coordinates 43.8, 76.9). With the key in your inventory, no special interaction should be needed to open it. Loot the ring; now the Ring of Self-Reflection quest will be offered to you. Accept it, return to the Reliquary of Remembrance, speak to Rot-Suir again, and you're done. You'll receive a nifty Ring of Duplicity for your troubles, allowing you once per hour to summon a ghostly doppelganger that mimics your emotes.
You'll also get to keep the Key of the Inner Chambers. This key, like the other three Archivists' Codex keys, is bound to a player's account, not a specific character, so alts can skip visiting Roh-Suir to purchase them.
World of Warcraft is now available for PC.
