Pokemon Fan Shows Off Incredible 3D ShadowCard Abra | Game Rant
Though the Pokemon TCG market has recently been rife with Pokemon card scalping issues and heavily overpriced cards, many fans still continue to patronize the trading card game. It seems that sales will not be slowing down anytime soon, given just how truly passionate fans are about the game, whether it is for playing or collecting rare cards. One dedicated fan decided to show off their intense love for Pokemon cards by creating their own version of the Abra shadow card, and giving it an amazingly unique 3D effect.
Many of those who grew up in the 1990s are fairly familiar with Pokemon TCG, especially since the collectible cards came to Western shores just some time after the Pokemon animated series main character Ash Ketchum graced television screens worldwide. Since then, the Pokemon trading card game continues to retain its dedicated veterans while drawing in new players through the introduction of new generations of pocket monsters, whether via video games or the animated series. With so many eyes on Pokemon TCG, one fan or other was bound to produce a unique creation that seems to clearly indicate how iconic the card game remains to be.
Aptly named Reddit user PrismCard seems to have done exactly everything right to proudly showcase their love for Pokemon TCG. Cutting and pasting an undisclosed number of Pokemon cards together, they shared their exciting take on the Abra Shadow card. The creation was made to look three-dimensional, and even seems to have used up several foil Pokemon cards, giving it a brilliant sparkle in the shared footage.
With over 100 comments on the Pokemon subReddit, many fellow card game fans applauded the artist's work. Some even went so far to say that they would want one of their own, with the original poster replying and stating that they do take commissions. This means that Pokemon fans can have their own 3D card of their favorite Pokemon. Other fans pointed out that The Pokemon Company should be making more creative Pokemon merchandise like these, considering how much profit the company has been making off of the TCG.
Given that Pokemon TCG continues to produce new cards every so often, it may be possible that cards with 3D effects will be in the company's production timeline. Nevertheless, these kinds of artworks provide a fresh perspective on the Pokemon TCG. Hopefully it inspires other fans to find their own creative outlets when it comes to the card game.
